Well, on one hand, I kind of always saw shaman as being the war priests of Norrath.
On the other hand, after you get into your 60's pretty much any mob you hunt in an xp group is going to beat you to a pulp and fast especially when you factor in slow mitigation.
I did have a lot of fun in my 50's and below playing shammy tank and stealing aggro from my best firend who was playing a shadowknight.
