Any clue why there is no duration extender (1 tic) for Halcyon Breeze, that I would have loved.

Because that's what the developers wanted

I still think it's kinda screwy that clerics get a +duration aug for THEIR HoT, but shamans did not. +1 Tick on a HoT is awfully powerful relative to the other Type 3 augs.

I guess shamans get one for Shade of Renewal instead. I wonder if that was a mistake.

Wondering what thoughts are on this and would people rather have it on Halycon or Shade?

I personally would rather have it on Shade of Renewal. I use it far more often.

While raiding I use the group hot a lot more than the single hot - the prevelance of rampage and AoE's make this really important. So the Aug3 on the group hot is excellent from a raid perspective

While grouping or soloing I use the single hot, I don't even mem the group hot unless I know I need it for a specific mob. I would like to have an Aug3 for those occasions.

I would say raid more than I group/solo on the whole, so the aug is on the right spell for me.

Maybe you can get them to remove the damage booster from Tundra Crumble?

ooooo, swapping tundra crumble for Halcyon extender would be awesome.

I use shade far more often.

So basically, the raiders will want Shade and the groupers will want Halcyon.

I actualy lean toward using the group HoT in both group situations and raids. In the more difficult content (ie: crystallos, ship) I'm seeing more poeple taking extra damage because of AE's, agro-switches due to mem-blur, off tanking adds, locking down mobs spawn as a result of a split or the result of a summons like the eyes do, and more.

I find it more efficient to use the group heal (since I don't much care about mana) in quite a few grouping situations. I think they placed the aug on the right spell for us. I'd like it for both, obviously, but if I had to choose I'd choose the group spell to have the augment regardless of whether I was grouping or raiding.

That's still the raider vs grouper perspective though. The guy in raid gear is going to have the best focii and such that mana is never a problem, as you said. The non-raider is going to have to be a lot more mana-conscious, and doesn't have the option of firing off a group HoT when single will do (likely encountering fewer AE's, as well).
