a) im glad there are upgraded potions
b) i was surprised by the strength of the new potions
c) Unmei's comment about a 2200hp buff doenst have to be a symbol buff... it can be new type a symbol+hero (yes i know its now defunt) line. Things can change.
d) In my opinion the only thing that matters from a chanter buff is the mana regen. the amount of the mana buff means zero to me. And in my opinion it should matter zero to 90% of the people 95% of the time.
I have lived in the raid world and the group world. I now am a grouping shaman, i raided in another life. My gear is decent, far from stellar. But one thing i have always and will always strongly feel... mana pool is irrelevant, mana regen is all that matters. But at the same time you will never see me begging for kei or what have you, im more than able to do my job with nothing more than self buffs. the only time i click my clarity potions is when im really running low on mana.
I just see no reason to clamour about the extra mana and getting 600 some odd extra mana does nothing for me and in the rare times when it makes a difference that is the least of my problems.
A shaman's spells are mana intensive we need all the mana regen we can get, and all the help we can get so that we are able to spend our mana instead of make it. I always get mad when people talk about our crazy mana regen, sure we have good mana regen but at the expense of doing other things. The mana regen is most needed when we are constantly casting other spells therefore unable to regen that mana. That is why the canni AA is so powerful. that is why kei is so powerful, you can keep doing what you need to do without stopping to regen mana, be it canni for a shaman or med if you are anyone else.
An extra 600 mana just means you can wait one more cast before you have to start thinking mana regen instead of mana spending. extra mana regen goes much farther.
but on point, wow new potions. Im sorta feel if they want to complete the gambit of buffs in a box they need the altuna line. And yeah they are high, they make it a lot easier to get by without specific classes. But i feel they more elimanate buff bots than people joining groups.
