TRADESKILL"s NERFED?

hi all..my friend asked me to combine a OOM augment,a cleave one.
i am maxed aa's and got 15% alchemy mod (345 in alchemy) and had it equiped.was also at 465 wisdom or so.
i never failed 2 in row before doing those augments.
well i failed all 4 attempts i did,got 3 black gold inlay recover at least,lost the last attempt tho.

at the RATE discordant scoria drop (ultra rare),it's just not fun.
i asked in guild chat about it and many told me they had lately more failed than before..

Both these augments and GM cultural armors have built in chance-of-success caps.

GM chest pieces, for example, are capped at 60%. That means no matter how high your skill or how strong your trophy, you can still expect to fail 40% of the time on that combine.

I don't know where the cap is for augments; I am guessing it is at about 70%. If that is right, you would expect to fail 30% of the time. The chances of failing 4 times in a row would be 0.81 % -- about 8 times in a thousand. That's not common, certainly; but it means that if 1000 tradeskillers all do 4 augment combines in a row, we would expect 8 of them to fail all four times.

It turns out that you are one of those unlucky 8, this go round.

IMO it's not just bad luck,ask around in guild chat or friends if they did some tradeskills lately,i asked and the one who did the tradeskills lately got a lot more fail than before

This is the first I have heard of people failing on tradeskills more often and I am in eqtraders channel all the time.

shrug, i managed to fail 4x GM boots today, its just bad RNG thats all. I made 2x symbols and wrists without any fails directly after.
