I had a fun experience in the Overthere long long ago. I was over a friends house LAN partying. We were grouping at the ledge and things were going along just fine. I was playing my enchanter out of group (was level 63 at the time I believe) and using her to chain pull while the group Beafly was in was killing.

Some group of idiots decided that this was their camp now and moved in right next to us. After a polite request to move down the wall to a different camp things turned ugly and their monk tried to FD train us. Laughing all the while I simply AE mezzed the train and we proceeded to knock them down getting all the exp. After another round like this our group got a bit torqued and decided it was time to move on and let them have the camp. But not without a bit of fun.

I ran out and found a DC pet first, buffed, hasted and parked him right next to their group. Then I runed up and ran out and picked up the biggest train I possibly could. Just as I was comming back into camp (and the other group already had 2 in camp) my group evac'd leaving the whole mess and one nasty hard hitting cocktrice for them.

Mad fun.

I remember a guy posting a very detailed story (with screenshots) about impersonating a rogue in a KC exp group. Was it Swiftraven? I've tried to find the story on the old Crucible and on the web and I can't find it. It was damn funny if anybody still has a link.

I've never really done much mean on my shaman, but I'm not as worried about my reputation on my alts.

People who have persistently bugged my wizard for KEI have been grouped and then ported to Sky (if I'm feeling nice) or Hate (if I'm feeling not nice).

People who have aggravated the hell out of me when I'm playing my chanter usually get to play with a max buffed charm pet wielding pet weapons when I come to their camp, KEI them like they begged, yelled, cajoled, and screamed over, then I gate out...

The Monk Bug

A little known about bug in Qeynos (or maybe more people knew, but kept their mouth shut respectively about funny bugs) was based around a level two monk who was stranded by the viscious gnolls of North Qeynos. You would hail little Tomar, he would tell you about his weakened condition, and you would valiantly offer him an escort back to his guild hall ... but not before you had a little fun. You see, Tomar would follow you around and act like a little enchanter pet, aggroing on anything that would attack you, his new best friend. Hell, if you would drag his monk guild trainer buddies to the yard they'd even help him against anything, being that they were on the same faction and all ... low level monsters, mean people in PvP on Sullon Zek and Tallon Zek, and even the guards or rogue guild. The possibilities were endless so we spent a lot of our free time hosting our own little GM events where we would slowly, but surely, kill almost every single mob in the zone with the five or six flying kick monks at our disposal ... you should have seen the look on ol' Fippy Darkpaw's face when he actually was able to claim Qeynos his home for about six or seven minutes. What would usually deconstruct everything was when we got to the front and got them fighting the guards with Mr. Kane Bayle in tow. He's meaner than he looks. The funniest part was if you actually managed to land a hit on one of the monk guild trainers before he died without dieing yourself (the guards would assist the mobs they were fighting, no clue) you could get an entire level and three fourths just from that kill at level one. Also, the monks dropped weird items like purple, yellow, and black headbands (or sashes, whatever was the opposite of the human monk quest you had to do for epic)

I know the craziest man who has ever played EQ. He's been banned twice for his shenannigans and can get me some really funny stories that I'll post here. Also, when I have more time I'll list some more of my favorites. I had the time to post one and this is the one I chose because it was my personal favorite bug.

Who said I wasn't grouped with the afkers? There is one or two people in particular who still haven't caught on. I ain't saying they went afk for the summer, just long enough for me to throw a stoicism, or a torpor on, and then watch them when they get back. Hell i cast cancel magic on a certain few folks while we run leved over a drop too, like off of the plateau in EJ, got to be grped to do that too.

i cant believe noones listed the old old school trick of rogues putting money on the floor of the fleaport bank, then hiding with the door open. Someone goes in and then you let the door close. the victim had to either have a high level rogue friend to get out. pay a ransom or petition a gm to come let them out.

Relatively Minor... but couldn't believe anyone fell for it.

On raids after Queen Malarian dead and moving towards BB to do the raid there.

Eagles tells the raid "Got to love seeing numeric EXPERIENCE with the new /ex makes it much easier to tell where to go for lesson burns."

Receive a few tells of that was bad to which I reply yeah but its so old noone will fall for that.

A few minutes later in channel, Some necro tells the channel "Damnit that /EX thing didn't work, I need a new raid invite"

Much hillarity ensued as the self proclaimed "death lord" was referred to as the "Noob Lord".

I tried to tell him they fixed it in the next patch but for some reason he didn't trust me anymore

1) First time in Crushbone, my friends and I are camped at "the wall" outside the castle. Our Paladin puller gets in over his head, but brings to whole mess back to camp. After a brief and confused melee, we have to run. Everyone lays on the "Train to zone" socials as we go. I and our Ranger are in the best shape, so we start a fighting retreat to buy the others some distance. We round the corner of trainer hill and he gets rooted. I turn to fight briefly, but then take off to the exit. As I round the corner that leads to the exit tunnel I am hugging the left wall. I notice a high elf caster of some description standing as tightly in the opposite corner as he could get - obviously heeding the train warnings. As I get to the next corner to turn left, I notice out of the right edge of my screen that the entire train (or at least most of the train) derails from me and bum rushes this guy. He completely disappeared behind a wall of blue meanies with blue fists a-wailing and all you could see at that point was his feet and head. I was laughing so hard that I didn't make the last turn and just crashed into the opposite wall before skidding across the ZL along the wall. After I catch my breath, I explain what happened. There is much hilarity and LOLing and ROFLing. That wasn't the end of it though. We recoup and zone back in, sure to see the HE dead in that corner, but mysteriously he's no where to be seen (the concept of gating was not understood yet). So, I started making "Deliverance" references about the orcs dragging him back to the castle basement because he had a "pretty mouth". To which, there was more hilarity and laughing. Amazingly, the Ranger lived. We found him in the corner cowering behind a tree next to trainer hill. He explained that after he was rooted the entire train continued after me and he was able to duck out of the way when root broke.

To this day, I have no idea why that train derailed onto the HE.
