Need help - can't patch

You can bypass the patcher completely by changing the target on your EQ icon. First off, make a copy of your EQ icon and rename it EQ1 or whatever floats your boat, something that distinguishes it from the icon that will run the patcher. Then right click on the EQ icon, my system automatically brings up the Shortcut tab. On that tab, you'll see a field that says Target: Mine reads: "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest.exe". If you change the information in the target field to "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme it should bypass the patcher completely and go to the EULA. Yes, there is a space at the end before "patchme".

Thanks, Kil, patchme fixed the problem so I could log on successfully and raid. I had bad luck tho, the day after, my internet connection disappeared completely, and I had to buy a new router... Now I'm crossing my fingers and hope nothing else goes wrong

And the first problem is gone, too, I don't have to bypass the patcher anymore, and lagging less (but still a bit more than usual).
