The problem with extending the duration on mana regen potions (or, really, on any of the potions) is that all it really does is make the effect cheaper. Look at it this way:
Elixir of Coolness X lasts 30 minutes and costs 10 plat to make, or 15 plat to buy at a vendor. That means that you are getting 3/2 minutes of Coolness X per platinum piece.
If we now introduce a new Elixir of Coolness XI, that lasts, say, 45 minutes, and and costs the same amount to make, we now have higher level characters paying less for the same effect, which is generally counter to the way the game works.
If, instead, Elixir of Coolness XI lasts 45 minutes and costs 20 plat to make or 30 to buy, then no one is going to use it, because they could get 60 minutes of Elixir of Coolness X for the same price.
And, finally, if Elixir of Coolness XI lasts 45 minutes and costs 15 plat to make and 22.5 to buy, why bother creating it, really?
I guess there are some people who might be willing to pay more to have to click the potion less often, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
