Actually, you were looking in the wrong part of allakhazam's. The VP 1.0 stuff is in the in the Beastiary. At least that's the trash mob stuff that are no longer there...
The old dragon loot is still in the same spot in the normal beastiary, you just have to search and seperate the EP loot from the old loot...

I've used my Spear of Constriction for groups where mobs run and we didn't have a snarer in group. As long as mobs aren't dying in 20 seconds I can usually get them snared before they start to run. It's one of those items that will remain in my pack forever, never to be removed.

I was under the impression that all of the old VP drops would remain in the new revamped VP, but would be dropped via trash, single group named, or in addition to new loot (like fabled mobs) on dragons. I haven't hunted much there to try and figure it out on my own yet, but I did kill a couple named and got old loot, but i dont remember if it was old loot from dragons, or just normal old trash named loot.
