The Spirit Realm

Ok. Got my Stoicism, now for a mount. I'll be getting the cheapie, of course. I am just trying to decide between a horse and a drogmar. I've heard that the horse's head can get in the way, but that shaman look silly on a drogmar. I would think a barbarian could pull that off ok.

Thoughts?

They have changed the graphics for being mounted. There is no issue now with the head of the mount getting in the way when playing in first person mode.

It's all about accessorizing. I think most everybody looks silly on a drogmor, though perhaps a Troll or an Ogre might could pull it off. Frogs look bad on any mount, and forget the damn huge roboboar thing. Horses are the way to go looks-wise, though I only ever had one so I could gallop furiously around Norrath for the hell of it.

Seriously though, I'll draw up a sketch in the next few days and post it. I did one a long time ago, so should be able to do it again.

And I totally agree that the mounts should have some combat level impact. hehe

ive always thought that mounts should give sometype of advantage in combat...wasnt the calvary the feared power behind nations even back in the middle ages (atleast they talked about them alot in braveheart). some type mitigation bonus to warriors and knights..or just knights, would fit a battle field type setting appropriatly.

im with jaraman though, id ride that battle drog(to the zone), mounts are for traveling or as a lawnchair for clerics
