I had the same mishap when i did my epic 1.0 ages ago. I had my Gl in his infinite power with about 2 groups assembled for the city of mist part. At the time it seemed I already was a burden since I was a lessor shaman ( newb ) at the time and had to beg for weeks to even get the help to begin with. So anyway long story short, we killed the mob and the spirit spawned. I excitedly opened the trade window and gave unknowingly dog dog the item meant for the spirit. After this im dieng irl and since i was a newb had no idea even what a GM was. Well I quickly learned of my mistake from a GM who told me that the quest wasnt bugged but that instead I instead had let my pet nibble on the item. Thus hell must have froze over from what i heard and I was awarded a new piece ( tear iirc ) and allowed to redo that part of the quest. Gotta love when the GM's do make life easier

/agree ...i just got a 20 ac aug that i swore was in the bank from GM who pulled logs to inform me that i had gave it to my pet=P

I seem to remember doing something similiar with a on the hand in on skin quest on my BL. Shame no GM was as nice to me about it though. Ah well.................
