got to close tradeskill window to cast buffs...no dice
i dont stand at main bank with my thumb in my butt, if im in pok theres a very very good reason. I really dont feel like waiting on someone to find out where the pottery merchants are, nor am i going to tell them how to find it, just so i can buff them. my goal with pok is to get in and get out as fast as possible. if i have to be there a while, i disguise so i dont appear to be a shaman:

Am a tradeskiller so I also have to spend chunks of time in PoK every once and awhile. /Anon, wood elf illusion and just re-equip my ranged item is usually enough to ensure I don't get any tells for buffs. Otherwise I am just passing through PoK and I usually get a tell just as I am zoning out and I am damned if I will zone back to buff some stranger. I will always try to send some reply though i.e. 'You missed me'.
If I am after kei and someone is MGBing, then I'll usually add an mgb wunshi so long as raids are more than the refresh time away. Other than that, it just depends on my mood and how busy I am whether I will buff a stranger and whether I will accept a donation or not. I always buff people I know, and for free.

When I play any of my melee alts, I realize just how nice Shammy lovin is when you have none. And of course, there is never a Shaman around when I'm not playing Vork.
I used to refuse pok buff beggars.
Now, whilst I wait on group members/guildies/raid time, I'll hit my "suicide" button:
/ooc Casting shammy buffs for the 61+ crowd (61+ only please) on grass at small bank.
Yeah, I'll take plat for buffs, cuz ranger girlfriends are expensive. (damn you 190p summon stones!)
When the greenies come by begging, I /say at what level did you drop out of school? your reading comprehension suxxorz, and then ignore them.

I get asked for buffs all the time, and whenever I am not omw to something else I will cast them. The one thing that really ticks me off though is when someone you are nice enough to buff TELLS you WHAT buffs to use. I had a lowbie SK ask me for buffs the other day. I loaded up IOS + TUNA with all the stats including regen and haste. He said "Those are the wrong buffs, I will click them off, use HoS instead." I waited a few secs and asked, all clicked off...when he said yes I told him Good, now find another buffer. and left lol.
For the most part whther or not I accept a donation (never ask for them) depends on the person. If they are 61+ or obviously a twink, then I happily click accept every time. If they are a newbie or act exceptionally polite then I click cancel. I have to say though that I have been shocked at some donations. Once a guy asked for Wunshi and I already had buffs mem'd so I gave him the full package, a mask popped up in trade window. I figured it was tribute stuff so I clicked accept. I then found out it was an int caster mask from Sleeper's. 15 int, 25 cha + more on a non lvl recommended item! i about filled my pants. I asked if they had given that by mistake with intentions of retunring it and the guy says "Nah, it has been rotting on an alt I got rid of and didn't want to try and sell it in bazzar."
Best donation I have ever received.

Only one thing I can think of that annoys me more than random tells in PoK for Cleric, Druid, Shaman buffs.... is that lazy AFK son-of-a-hairless-kodiac-beaten-by-the-Royal-guards player who upon hearing in RSAY.. ENGAGING IN 10 SECONDS coutdown *MUST* without fail request for shaman lovin...

I am almost always /role. I've found my life in EQ far more peacful when I am. When I zone into PoK I will usually equip my wand instead of my epic 1.5. If someone looks close enough the chain armor will give me away though.
While we're on the subject, Anyone know of a robe graphic chest piece for froglok shaman by chance?
