I totally loved the classic/Kunark "fabled" anniversary events. I'm excited about what they might have planned for the 7th Anniversary which hopefully will feature Velious.

From the EQlive forums:

March 16th is the anniversary date for EQ. Yes the fableds will be returning from Original EverQuest and Kunark as well as some new ones from Velious. The annual scavenger hunt will be in place and there will be some increased experience periods as well.

There will also be a new VEteran Reward for the next year, however exactly what it is has not been announced yet.

Intensity was out last year, for those with six years of subscription who bought the promotional year extension. It's like Champion on crank, basically, with a dose of DoN tier4 (powered 25x) tacked on.

This year a new one will be introduced for those people who have had Intensity for a year already. An eigth vet reward.

Fabled Queen Drachnia! Complete with Fabled Messenger of the Queen! (always liked the name of that one)

Fabled Roderick Tardok...jumps you when you're fleeing the aforementioned queen. Drops Fabled Dirk of the Traitor ...with a 500 proc rate mod!

Fabled Stormfeather - Drops Fabled Eyepatch of Plunder, and pisses off all the people who camped him for 35+ hours.

honestly all i rmember from the article now is"vulak will no longer require the ring to spawn him even after the anniversarry is over" and "about 70 hours of increased xp time"

I got Stormfeather as soon as I zoned in to Iceclad to start the quest the first time. Second time I parked a tracker there to check everytime I logged in. It took 2 times.
