SoW scales from level 9 (34% increase) to 50 (55% increase). The philters have a series of fixed casting levels, ranging from level 10 (philter I) to 50 (Philter V). If you quaff a Philter of the Wolf V, you get the same spell effect as a level 50+ beastlord, druid, ranger, or shaman casting SoW on you. At level 50+, SoW and Bih`Li overwrite, regardless of level, duration extension, etc., so it stands to reason that the level V philter should overwrite the spell versions, but it certainly doesn't seem to be the case (my 40+ paladin had a level V philter bounce once when trying to refresh, so I always click off the old before quaffing now).
