A great spot for solo XP are the Murkgliders in the east cave in Wall of Slaughter. They are all spread out and can be root rotted without adds. (watch their aggro range though, it's fairly big). Make a couple of spell sets to maximize as many dots as possible and root rot them. I can't recall how much they give at level 65 but at level 70 they give out 6% AA a kill. Up to 13% if I use my Lesson of the Devoted.
That may be a bit rough for you now though until you get better equipped and/or a level or two at least. If so give the Murkgliders in Noble's Causway a shot. Any inside the gorges should work and there's plenty of spots where they are spread out far enough to single them. The good thing about fighting these guys, though quite rare, are the possibilites of seeing Discordant Scorea or an Gemstone (augment) drop from them which can fetch a nice bundle in bazaar to help you save up for some gear upgrades.

as a very casual-geared shaman, i second the murkglider recommendations. i came back from a long break and the murks in NC were recommended to me. i'm not going to lie, i was a bit scared to attempt them because i had tried to tank them on my warrior and they hit hard for someone who was use to luclin and earlier mobs. but, i found my sack and gave them a shot and it worked out well. i pulled w/ malos and then used ornate pants to root. i slowed them because i'm a bit of a coward and then put every dot i had on them. inlcuding epic. i did this at like ... lvl 63 to 65 or so. it was outstanding experience while lfg and while i didn't get any drops, i was happy w/ the experience. very happy.
@ 65, i had all my spells and c5, but very average gear (hi full suit of ornate). i went to the east murk caves in wos (are there more somewhere) and they were even con. lvl 65. again, i'm a bit of a coward, so i had never attempted to fight an even con mob. i said the hell w/ it. i had a friend w/ a cle on and the guild lobby summoning iksar and i are intimately acquainted, so i said what the hell and gave it a shot. same method as nc murks, and i still slow just because. worked like a charm and i nearly pissed myself when i saw how much aa experience they are worth.
i've ground out a metric ton of regular and aa xp on those wos murks in retarded-average gear. i have vp now and that's a lifesaver. i've gotten very lucky w/ discordant scoriae drops there and there is always a buyer in the bzr who pays me 65k for each one i get. so i can farm pp and get outstanding (for me) xp at the same time. it's the eq gravy train for the casual average-geared shaman as far as i'm concerned. w/ the pp from the scoriae i've got some bzr gear upgrades and all my spells to lvl 68. i'm now lvl 70 with 100 aa or so and the xp from the murks is still winwin. w/ breath of trushar (thanks tadof) and some tribute burning affiction 5, i can rot three at a time now. if i do singles, it's no down time.
i have limited eq knowledge of zones and what not, but the murk caves in wos are winwin for me. and let's not joke around, if i can do this, anyone else most certainly can.
