Yes there are quite a few items that are better than the Spear of Fate, stats-wise, but the most important thing is that you enjoyed the time you spent. In the end that is far more important than comparing stats.

Hehehe I had a similar day... Started last night or early this morning (depending how you wnat to count it) with Saryn taking a dirt nap in Torment after she defeated us 2 weeks ago when raid force went down to a total of 13 toons since some idiot evac'd their group out during raid...

Then, I too completed my Spear of Fate (thanks all who helped btw) and started already on Epic 1.5 questing... While doing that I had LFG up and got invited to RSS (first time there). Hung out for a bit at statue camp, we died a few times, killed a few named after getting a better strategy and won my first greater rune so Balance of Discord is now mine and I don't need to keep eyeballing that Balance of Nihil in the bazaar anymore...

It was truely refreshing from the endless grind of xp and/or the long times /lfg waiting for something to happen...

Gratz to you on completing your spear and gaining Sol Ro access... Hmm, guess I know something I should quest for tomorrow...

In a sort of related question, exactly all what parts of the quest can be skipped if you just farm the faction to max? Can you skip everything except the tear turnin then just do that for epic?

nfef that certainly used to be the case, I have no idea if it still is as I did my epic 1.0 a long time ago (several years).

still the case, shaman epic is about faction, if you want to skipp everything, do the easy fast faction hits such as dire wolf pelt, envy & woe over and over, then get a tear
