Old Shammy jumping back in.

I'm sure a few older ones recognize me, though it has been several years since I've lurked these forums.

I downloaded EQ again last night, and started to hop back on the bike so to say. several things have changed since I was last there. In my day, I was a heavy-raiding shaman, geared and experienced. Now, I'm trying to remember the basics and how I kept up with everything. I've been gone since around the time the serpent's spine launched.

I know most of my experience will be gained by just jumping in and doing it, but I remember being a part of a strong and supportive community here.

are there any new features of particular interest for the shaman? any new tips and tricks? nuances to new skills?

Welcome back! I returned myself about a year now after a 6+ year hiatus. Took a little while to catch back up, but still having fun.

Thanks alot! After a few days, I think I'm getting the swing of things. I've had to modify the way I play a bit, Mercs open up so many more possiblities that were unavailable before. Catching up in levelling isn't proving difficult...however, buying skills is taxing my resources. any particular money makers out there for shammies these days?

For money making, 2 ideas,
- on my alt SK I leveled in Gyrospire and made a lot of PP (diamonds, 150PP-1kPP vendors spells, 70PP stackable items), but I did that swarming, not an option for a shamy...
- You can buy bag of platinum with your loyalties points, each one is worth ~15 kPP
