As I said, that was the DPS he told me, he could have been full of shit, and I would have been none the wiser. The reason I posted that parse was I saw a question pertaining to over all DPS as it related to other classes, and thought I would share a parse I had just posted on the MB boards. I agree, that parse is from a typical burn - fight, and really only represents close to the maximum DPS our guild is capable of. When I parse combined raids, as in combining every fight in Tacvi and Anguish together, usually I see myself at the top, due to the range issue on the parser, with around 800 DPS (named only) and 400-500 if you include the trash, depending on how active I pretend to be that day.
Sorry if the information was unwelcome, I've been a long time reader, thought I might try to contribute a little. Again, Giac was right about one thing, that fight was a non-typical fight with a rooted mob, turned with his back to the DPS, and no other tricks. I can't really comment with any authority on shaman end game DPS, and don't even want to make a stab at it, but I thought I would post some numbers from a typical guild clearing Anguish, Tacvi, and DoN (- Vish and OMM) in regards to semi-end game DPS of other classes.
