The lack of recast dalay is one of the most critical aspects of the TA all in all. I'd hate to lose that

about the only thing i would put my TA away for is another way to instant recast slow. balance line spells are useful, but a quick cast with a long reset, in my eyes i see it the same way i look at cursed gear in luclin (FT3, -20 sta stuff).
if they truely regret makeing the TA, and wish to banish it from existance, they need to make something spell wise to replace it...like a lvl 70 version of turgurs...i mean comeon, were using a low 50 version of slow as our BEST slow, thanks; goes right with my group haste/single haste line of thinking. I dont care if it has no resist check, honestly, but to be greater than the TA. it would have to be standard recast, 3 second cast (or 3.2 so spell haste affects it /wink), last 6-7 minutes, and have a 50+ resist check. otherwise, TA will always be a better option for shaman who have it. discord/nihil only give us slightly fast cast (balanced with a long recast...so kinda nullifies that benifit) and a resist mod (balanced against shorter duration). make a pro-vs-con list, and dont forget zero recast versus 6 second, if you dont have a TA and dont understand the issue here.
bandolier is a bandaid to the situation...even if i had a 1000 hp/mana primary, bandoliering to TA every mob leaves me without the ose 1000 hps every time i switch (added weapon just adds to pool max, doesnt fill it)

The other thing we should be thinking on, is why is it that the best slow available to shaman ,(and this has been proven in the number, whether you have one or not,) on an item in the first place. The game made those of us that have TA dependent on it because it is BETTER than anything in our spell books, we use it not because we are crippled without it, but because it doesn't make sense to not use it. We wouldn't be lesser people if our ancient rune happened to be the great slow, even if only raiding shaman could get it, but we would still be in our place to call for fixes for it.

I've read this topic from page one when it started. I have to agree with both sides here. Those with the TA (me) have come to depend on it. I use it more than my 1.5 and with it being auged, it's equal to my 1.5 basicaly. But as a part of my game play, if I know I have enough time before the mob is eating the group (like on INC) I malos everything (not just for my benefit, but that of the other casters in the group). So my TA gets a great workout, and it lands almost every time. The only reason I wouldn't malos something before slow is if it was going to be in camp and whacking people before malos would even land. BoD gets resisted as much as Turgur's. Maybe its just me and I truly am a jinx when it comes to resists. I hate BoD, I mem Nihil over it when I think about it (still gets resisted, but doenst seem to as much), so I still have to malos stuff for BoD to land, like my TA. So you take the extra 3.5 secs to malos something then click your mana free TA..stuff is slowed, life is good. Malosing is our job anyway, esspecially if there are other casters. So if you do your job well and malos on INC when you can...Turgur's landing shouldn't be much of an issue. Its frusterating to see arguments about having to malos stuff before TA landing on trash...its our job anyway. I would LOVE to see TA clickable from range or invintory...but in reality I know it will never happen.

Not necessarily 21 of them, but they may be killing the adds, not everyone does the event the way cestus dei (sp my apologies) spoilered it.

The problem on say Ture is that BOTH turgurs and discord resist like hell. So I chain TA / discord until Turgurs lands. Then I know I'm good for like 8 minutes (usually remainder of fight).

I, personally, really like the graphic on our 1.5 and would love to equip it for that reason. But, thats an opinion.
