I think I've said this before, allthough you just dont get it (in your case it doesnt surprise me) - if you are both slower and healer it is beyond stupidity to take agro on the inc, or even take that risk. Sure - if there is another healer (which is usually the case in most groups), you can slow the second you see the mob, then frustrate the hell out of your tank while you run around camp like a chicken with your head cut off to avoid getting mushed. But, again, that is unnecessary. I can state with 100% certainty that with Yella up front Brohg would generally not be able to beat Mokara slowing mobs while ensuring secure agro control. 100%. Doesnt change the fact that the limiting factor is dealing with spike damage in those situations. Healing outside of that is trivial, and you know that perfectly well. Tanks deal with spike damage using hp, not AC.
