HP and me

I'm presently level 42 and have, since level 30 or so, been of the understanding that for the shaman, HP = mana. As many others, during character creation I dumped all the points I could into WIS. Out of curiosity (I have not intention of re-rolling), is conventional wisdom that shaman should concentrate on STA during character creation? I've experimented with that on the Combine server, and it makes for a *really* small mana pool when trying to buff a party at lower levels, but that is, admittedly, well before Canni comes along.

My mission of late has been to find HP/STA gear. Nothing I have is very remarkable in that regard, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Secondly, do later canni-style spells also require "dancing"? At 42 I find it difficult to do much else when I'm not casting.

Don't expect huge HP until you get into your 60s, and even then, it won't be huge until you get your DoD drop gear. I think you are on the right path, HP/Sta gear until you get near your Sta cap while buffed; then start to ignore ability stats alltogether, as the better gear will have those anyway.

No cani spells require dancing; it's just that dancing makes your mana regen slightly better. Get the cheapest mount, and no dancing outdoors.
