You may have envisioned this spell as a situational spell, but intent and actuality often diverge. My first thoughts are that this type of buff would simply affect detrimental spells you cast, which include slow and cripple. That in effect would render Malos or the Idol obsolete, except in cases where the debuff is needed to help others out as well, as in raids.
But even if this self-buff were to only target the shaman's DPS spells, in many situations, you would yet use it in lieu of Malos... BoD needs no malos, and most of the time we don't use Cripplin Spasm either...that leaves just DPS spells that Malos would have been for.
For the DPS shaman, keeping this self-buff up gives his damage spells the best chance to not be resisted, and also removes the time associated with using Malos at all... Those are huge benefits. DoTs could be used just as soon as necros use theirs, and we could even probably squeeze an additional DOT or 2 in the lineup. Our contribution would climb up 100 to 250 DPS or more.
Which would re-introduce an old problem -- too much mob aggro. Well, since we're imagineering, we could toss the shaman a bone and include the autocast Rekindled Vengeance Recourse. This bard box buff would proc a fade or jolt type effect, reducing aggro to randomly counter the increased aggro from over-DPSing mobs. If you want to sell something for $100, it helps to start off by offering it for $200 first....
