Work on those defensive AAs!!!!! proof they work at times

Did a pickup on Txevu Zun last night and we had an incredibly shitty time with the charmable mob spawning. In fact, we got Zun from 100 to 9% without the chaosslayer ever spawning before we finally ran out of mana/people alive.

Anyways, here was a particular point of the fight. I was in the group with the main tank (Headboss) as well as the two rogues who were in charge of opening the door from banishings, not to mention two other weak geared characters, so I was doing a lot of healing/curing. The main point of the fight of course, is where I go unconscious.

In other words, in a span there in the middle, he hit me twice out of a possible 19 times, and both were for only 750 dmg. I do have max defensive AAs as well as an ID3 item, maxed avoidance and I think that at the time I was sitting somewhere just over 2700ac.

Yeah, I did pop AG late, but it was cause it just popped mid summon. I kept sitting there waiting for it and it finally came right when I cast it.

But yeah, I had a pretty big role in the raid at that time (explained earlier, with keeping the group up and making sure the rogues were cured and healed) that I didn't want to die so my first thought was pop heal on myself when I got summoned. He just interupted me a few times unfortunetly.

The reason that we are doing pickups on him is because we are one of the top guilds in the game, and there is no way that our guild is gonna go back and kill him again in a normal raid setting. He is important to many of us cause a lot of us finished up all of our BiC quest up until Txevu Zun (back when we killed him, he rarely dropped a single piece, much less more than one) so in the guild prior to pickups, we had officially completed 4 BiCs (1 of them was mine) while two other people had finished them in other guilds before becoming a member of my guild. So, the pickups are being conducted, inviting members from other guilds on the server (well.. minus assent it seems, although that might just be a fluke) usually from those guilds that have killed him or would like a chance to get the txevu bic piece. It's run mostly by Headboss, who is main tank on him, and who I can prob keep alive by myself on him assuming he doesn't banish him. The AE from Zun does hardly noticeable dmg to my mana, it's more to my hps that I notice.

Actually, there's some doubt about the accuracy of the GoD ones, it has been suggested that they actually return between 1 and 1.5 percent per rank rather than 2.5 percent per rank, which would affect the return per AA spent as well as the overall return per AA and total return, making them even more expensive in AAs spent per bit of avoidance/mitigation, but yeah, we think DoD and OoW ones bear the same potency.

Diminishing returns - yes, I don't think anyone questions that. Still worth the expenditure? That'll be up to the individual to determine. I got my max avoidance early, but have been getting other things before going back to complete mitigation.
