This post is mostly peeps asking for info but no real info yet. -lol

top group gear pretty much = Tower gear
full top raid gear is about 15k hp and 1k ac more then full tower gear

Content is quite a bit harder then SoD

for paladins, there is Undead, they are rough tho, so you wont be soloing them

Spells from every class are rather meh over all, AA are pretty leet tho(atleast for pallies ).

more detailed stuff:

Mercenaries do not receive any upgrades, Cleric merc still pretty much holds up tho, Tank merc is still useless(like it wasnt before ;P)

New target window is pretty cool, has like 6? or so targets at a time, you can set em up however you want, mobs that have anyone on your grp on hate, your tanks target, pullers target, mercenaries target, anyone in your group/raid, etc

Achievement Window should be interesting for those that like that kind of thing( think 360 achievements in EQ or WoW achievement idea) it doesnt have the long list of achievements like other games, yet, atleast

there's 3 tiers of raids, and 4 tiers of group, these extend past sod as 6/7/8/9, so korafax = t5, lowest zone in underfoot = t6, since its all level 85.

You have to quest to unlock zones, there's something like 18-20? quests total to get to the end zone, which is similar to SoD, there should also be 1 more zone (t8 raid, t9 group) coming in april.

As mentioned before, T9 group gear pretty much = tower, T8 Raid gear is about 15k hp, 1k ac higher then tower gear for paladins, Shaman/druid should see around 15k ish hp/mana increase, I believe they have the minimum focus in as well, which adds to the minimum % rather then maximum.

AA total for most "Pure" classes seem to be around 500 or so, for Paladins its like 1200-1250(yay hybrid )

New spell types, I'm not sure what shaman spells are on which but there's 3 new main things:
ToTT = Target of Targets Target, this kind of spell you cast on the mob or the player and the effect lands on the person they have targeted, so a slow you cast on the mob that procs a HoT on the tank I believe was one of shamans.

Free Target = when you click/hit the gem a green circle will appear on your cursor over the ground, you move the mouse to where you want it to land, click the spot and the spell will AE based on that location you clicked, Not sure if a shaman spell uses this

Healing Twincast = You nuke the mob and get a 2 charge healing twincast, this doubles your heal till you use the charges or buff fades, it lasts 18-24 seconds, Believe the recast is 18 seconds also, healing twincasts do the same as the first cast, so if you cast a heal and it crits the healing twincasted 2nd version will also be a crit, if it doesnt crit the 2nd wont crit.

Someone else will have to post shaman specifics from AA/Spells.

Group content should be pretty challenging, tho there is/was quite a bit of dblue/whites so plenty of stunnable content.

Brell Serrilis is killable (<3, h8 dorfs)

Caster dps stagnates for the most part because of Wizard/Necro being crazy overpowered, Melee weapons get huuuuuuuuge damage increase, Top knight weapon is like 233 + 1 dmg / 36 dly un auged.

Exp blows in underfoot, you will still be popping lessons in old zones.

There was also quite a bit of see invis in some of the higher tier zones, so zone crawling to camp spots in some places.

Shield graphics are ok, weapons are pretty ugly.

Ah yes the armor system

To make armor in underfoot you have to get a single slot drop clay armor essence piece then combine it with some tradeskill made item (final combine is no fail) and it makes your armor, think PoP style armor except essences are all/all of course :p, not sure what skill or how to make the tradeskill made required part though

from what I saw, essences are all separate now, so Chest only, Legs only, Arms only, etc. single slot parts.

Each armor piece is independent so it's not like SoD where you needed tier 3 to make tier 4 to make tier 5, if you get tier 9 you can make it tier 9, dont need any of the previous tiers.


There's a class only evolving weapon in Brells Rest it was buyable with gold tokens (which you get from brells arena boomerang minigame), They aren't that great tho(compared to the highest tier group primary) iirc.

To piggyback on what Riou said regarding questing to open zones ... there are apparently four tiers of group zones in Underfoot and they're known as tiers 6 through 9 (since Korafax is known as tier 5). Tiers 6 and 7 are open and include Brell's Rest, Pellucid Grotto and the Cooling Chambers in tier 6 and Underquarry, the Foundation and Arthicrex in tier 7. Then, to get into the tier 8 zones (Fungal Forest, Lichen Creep, the Shining City and Brell's Temple) you have to have completed group missions from the previous tiers (believed to be all group missions from all T6/T7 zones). To get into tier 9 zones, you must have completed group missions in the tier 8 zones. At launch, the only T9 zone is Volkra's Husk.

Glad to see some good information is coming out on this new expansion. One question I have is on the tokens to buy stuff in the new expansion. Are these tradeable? Or are these just another annoying currency to gather?

I am hoping for tradeable, since my main seems to always have the coins but they just go to waste.....

I am glad to hear that part of the currency is tradeable. I will be looking at this gear primarily for my alts... so no big loss of hp/mana... My main will be raid geared, so yeah.. this will be a good thing.

Now just got to figure out how to box through this boomerang mission...
