I can't remember where I read it but someone was saying the revamps were to become permanent.
Can anyone confirm this is true please?

Wouldn't surprise me if they bring them back again next year though.

Wow they kept the undead zones at same time I thought was gonna be 1 undead zone in each of the 2 cycles IE guk plus ct and BB plus unrest.

Is guk and BB the same as last year or did the up the level? Iwas two low of a level to partake of the BB goodness last year and missed out.

Kinda wish they'd upped the level and gear somewhat. 350hp stuff was a great compliment to SoF lower tier gear...with SoD 500hp gear rotting in so many zones, I doubt there'll be the same draw.

Since you can sit almost AFK in FoS and get nearly head to toe gear, there doesn't seem like much reason to go, other than nostalgia.

I'll certainly check it out, but not as excited as I was last year when I was returning to EQ and still wearing a lot of 100-200hp stuff.

It's definetly intended to gear up the returning player to some reasonable current content, without scrounging, and with lower level limit. You've already partaken, so it shows that it works! . I also used the Lguk stuff to gear my guys up to prep for SOF. Should be interesting to see what level they place the two new zones at.

I am hoping there are a few new interesting items in the 2 new zones being revamped. Perhaps some decent augs, or even a clicky or two.

CT should be hilarious. I recall getting molested many times crossing the courtyard, either through my own foolishness, or someone else training around. This is gonna bring some fond memories back..

There was a nice shield that came out of BB that is of interest too. Tower something shield. Can't recall what it does and can't access Ala from work, so just talking out my arse mostly, but there are a few interesting items that one can pursue there.

Have they announced the mob lvls for Unrest and CT?

I think the CT mobs are level 75+. Items seem to be around 390 HP/Mana, but the trash armour drops (or rather quest hand-ins so that you can get a generic silk/chain/plate item suitable for your class returned) are all too rare. Maybe I had bad luck though as whilst I killed thirty or so mobs last night whilst camping a named and saw no trash drops I did find out this morning that another player who had been chain pulling for eight hours had accumulated four full sets of armour. I ended up buying a set but haven't done the hand-in yet so can't give the exact stats.

On the positive side I have yet to find any mob who sees through invisibility, but when you do pull you should be ready both for roaming adds and pesky chain healing mobs. Any healer within 100 or so feet will heal your target (though they don't aggro), so be sure to pull to a spot that doesn't have any healers on the far side of a wall

You can see a good number of the new drops on Lucy: . I'm not sure if the Athlai items drop in CT - I suspect that those may be from the revamped BB.

In Blackburrow last night, I noticed that the mobs were fully slowable. What about CT?

CT mobs are NOT fully slowable. Still not too hard to be honest. I was able to take out 6 at once with just me and my tank merc. Wasnt easy as I had to burn all my AA heals, dogs and spiritual channeling but did it.

Here's some things I've noticed in just my 1 run into CT:

Mobs are NOT fully slowable and tend to add often without snare. With a snare it is MUCH easier.

The quest molds are a pretty cool idea. Can get the type of gear you want. Problem that i have run into initially, is that they are much rarer to find than the stuff in BB. Just a feel right now, dont have any parses to prove it. Stats are about 30hp/mana better than BB in every slot. Same lvl so I would guess most people would try for CT.

I'm assuming that the non-vis gear will be made tradable. It is odd that they are almost all no drop. Weapons and visible armor are tradable though. I'm expecting a change but as is, it is rather annoying.

What I'm waiting for now is a decent map showing where named are. I have NO clue whatsoever where everything spawns. Figure one will be out soon.

<EDIT> This is actually a map of Cazic Thule 1.1 as it is marked with "Ravenscale" instead of Rubicite, though the same named drop the rubicite counterparts to the ravenscale. As stated the spawn points should be the same for this revamp. Goodluck and hope it helps.

I noticed that on the CT armor tunics the plate and silk chest items have a clicky effect but did not see one on the chain or leather. That seems a little silly. Am I missing something?

Aristo on the Eq forums posted the following (I am paraphrasing):

The gnome in POK will remain once the revamps disappear. That way you can still turn-in armor items after it is all said and done.

CT and BB will end once Guk and Unrest go live on May 11, 2009.

So I am guessing Guk and Unrest will only be around for a couple of weeks as well.
