Based on what I read in the patch notes, it seems the changes to cast/recast times on our nukes/dots that went live with SoD are being retro-fitted to our SOF spells. In addition to those changes, the global recast timer on all normal spells is being reduced to 1.5 seconds from 2.25 as was a change for SoD spells. Also, there is a note about druid and shaman heals from SoF getting a boost. Will have to wait and see after the patch to tell the full extent of the changes. It is good to see some of these changes being adjusted for previous spells too so as to prevent conflicts of spell lines casting/refreshing at different rates based on level.

this could be really huge for druids, esp cast/recast adj on nukes. could help a LOT with mana efficiency. use new spells for max dps but watch mana drain or use sof stuff for decent dps with more efficiency. crossing my fingers.

These won't do anything for our mana efficiency. Same damage same mana expended on each spell. What it will do is triple our dps though (at the expense of tripling mana consumed per second). Basically it will allow us to burn and with the ooc regen, should make soloing for exp MUCH faster.

Oh, and here's hoping crescentbloom got a bump.

I'm excited though. Guess it's time to take a look at the mana efficiency of SoF spells vs SoD spells considering focus degradation and mastery of the past.

Cresecentbloom, Adrenaline Swell, and Puravida all got boosts. Increased healing amount and a slight mana increase I believe for some. Crescentbloom got the largest increase, is over 3k base heal even at rank 1.

Sunsear and Horde of the Fireants got reduced to 0.5 sec cast times and recast times increased slightly.

Winter's Blaze, Hoar Crystals, and Equinox Brand all got cast times reduced to 3 seconds with recast times increased to maintain constant cast + recast total.

Gelid Frost and Chillvapor Breath had cast times reduced to 1.5 Gelid Frost got a resist mod added to make it land more often.

Global recast timer for all other spells was reduced to 1.5 from 2.25 so your spell gems refresh sooner.

Last night, a druid box han no issues whatsoever in keeping our tank alive in the Mechamatic Guardian, even through catastrophic pulls
