Two spells really caught my attention..

1) Denoucement - Nice way to nuke target and heal tank..

2) Protective Devoution - Should this be a new spell.. We currrently have to healing spells that heals target's target ( other than the AA that lets ya cast a Loh that way)..

Was Earnest fury changed to include a stun to trigger healing light? I saw some talk about it in Beta but was so busy working I didn't get to test much.

I can live with 30 minute duration on aego if it means I will actually use the spell again. Of course extensions will bring it up. This expansion is looking good.

not for lack of effort

I've made various attempts since beta started and so have a few other people. It was one of those things I didn't push in our AA list because I feel it should sort itself out. There are several classes who should get 96% rez. The fact that besides mercs everyone can purchase rez clickies via velocity exacerbates the problem further. Hopefully post launch we can keep at it until finally do the logical thing and upgrade rez for those of us who have the ability as a core part of their class and not just keep farming it out without considering the classes who cast the spell.

Some of the new spells like propitiate ( new pacify) are for tasks/missions?? Any info on those yet??

What kind of faction?? Who do I con to test the faction and what level do I need?? thanks..

The merchant is Kaelynn near rathe zoneline in the new feerott. I had indifferent faction when doing the turn in for two minor shards. The shards you need depend on level, you can choose your spells from a list of rewards. Notably Annihilate Undead & Mark of the Pure are grouped together; Propitiate and Ernest Purity are grouped together. This however is for rk2 versions of the spells, didn't see rk1 at all, by time my faction hit indifferent I had the shards already.

I --read-- somewhere the spells were to be rk2 SoD > rk1 HoT. I wasnt in beta for longer then a day and I havent looked into this with a lot of different spells, but I just hit lvl 88 yesterday evening and bought my new self buff (ac/hp) spell Armor of Implacable Faith rk1 from the vendor. This is the info listed for each of them.

Armor of Implacable Faith rk1 - 73ac 898hps
vs
Armor of Unwavering Faith Rk. II - 72ac 923hps

The upgrade... well the difference is 1ac -25hps (thats a loss of 25). It should be noted their is a significant increase in mana regen if the info listed below and on alla's is correct (+10 vs +23).

This was a complete disappointment. Why after 2 years, 5 levels, and 2 expansion (SoD & UF) is the upgrade sooo bad? How many lvl 83+ paladins in the game do not have their rk2 by now?

Why would any dev think lvl 88 rk1 be worth buying? Can someone give me a good reason?
We had to have a rk1, so here it is... Seriously ?

Not trying to sound like a smartass here, but where I am means I can't view the pictures linked here, and I can't check the sony boards or alla's for spell data. So what does Rk2 vs Rk2 look like? And what is the jump of SoF Armor from Rk 1 to Rk 2 vs the jump of HoT Armor from Rk 1 to Rk 2?

I don't have any way to check it here, but while it doesn't look like much of an upgrade at the rk1 side, it's not especially meant to be. But I look at the mana regen, and that by itself will make me use the new rk1 over my old rk3. Figure it this way, 12 more mana a tick, if given to us in AA form, would cost 60AA, lol.

I had thought one of the intentions on this expansion was to give a more considerable bump in the different ranks. That might not have happened since I've not looked into it in detail, but I do remember discussion along those lines.

SoF rk1 = 52ac, 601hps, +6m per tick
SoF rk2 = 59ac, 710hps, +7m per tick
SoF rk3 = 63ac, 764hps, +8m per tick

SoD rk1 = 63ac, 781hps, +8m per tick
SoD rk2 = 72ac, 923hps, +10m per tick
SoD rk3 = 77ac, 994hps, +11m per tick

HoT rk1 = 73ac, 898hps, +23m per tick
HoT rk2 = 83ac, 1061hps, +26m per tick
HoT rk3 = 89ac, 1143hps, +30m per tick

Can see from pervious expansion jumps from SoF to SoD, SoD rk1 is a few hps better then SoF rk3. At least some more hps should be added to each rank of the HoT spells, if not a few more ac imo considering its been two expansions since upgrade (instead of just one from SoF to SoD).

Ok, so 11ac and 138hp difference in them (rk2 vs rk2) is pretty weak considering. I'm loving the mana regen, 16m a tick difference between them is pretty nice.

Still, given that it has been 2 expansions since this spell came out, and everything else got such a tweak up in HP buffs, I'm suprised the difference isn't a bit more. Considering how they have stepped it up in the past I would have expected 88 or so AC and 1200hp ish. That said, I will still go for the mana regen regardless, I'm glad to see that get tweaked way up.

Righteous Indignation
Can someone explain the mechanics of this to me?
Does it really only work for 2HS (vs 2HP for instance)?
When I hit the ability, I get an emote about the mob being hit with righteous indignation. I get this emote no matter what weapon set I have on, including 1HS. But to be honest, I don't see much in the way of DPS increase no matter what set I am using, be it 1HS, 2HS or 2HP.
What is the mechanics of what is supposed to be happening?
And what am I doing wrong?

The weapon you have equipped doesn't matter, the disc uses your 2hs skill to do a couple attacks with the damage listed. I've gotten several skillups using it ;)

yep, righteous indignation, is a 5 hit disc, it uses your 2hs skill regardless of what you have equiped, it "should" also be boosted by shield specialist , you should see 5 hits/misses around when you hit the ability

Saw this on the patch notes for Thursday.

Paladin Blessing of Light will now properly be triggered from Earnest Fury Strike. Gift of Mana will not.

Cleanse -- supposed to be a group cure or self only? spell info says self, casts as a group

Marr's Salvation -- aggro mod increase or decrease? am hearing and researching different thing

Cleanse is group and Marr's salvation is aggro decrease.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but this is from today's test server patch notes.

*** Spells ***

- Fan Faire Request - Auras will no longer cancel each other out when multiple people in a group use the same aura.
- Paladin - Corrected the description for one of the spell options for the Minor Dream Fragments. This now correctly lists Earnest Purity and Propitiate rather than Earnest Fury and Respite.

Penitence - Doesn't this have a 2.5min recast?
