Projection of Piety dumb question

Been reading the SK threads at the Sony forums and Elidroth was saying the pet won't transfer aggro if it dies because they don't want it being used for fast aggro lock on raid bosses and such. But I can't help but think what the difference would it be if a tank used it while still tanking and then sucking the added aggro when it despawned since it would take no damage.

So my question .... does this ability only work if he pet is actually tanking the mob away or does it still build up and transfer aggro with the tank on top of the mob tanking it?

It will still build aggro when tank is on top of mob with it yes

yes, you however need very solid aggro to use it that way.
Initial aggro is 100K + 10k/Tick.

It's a pet. If a pc is closer to mob then pet pc gets aggro right?

You could send the pet in to attack and aggro lock yourself at 100k hate before ever engaging the mob.

But if you send it in and it dies you wont get the aggro? So why send it in before you tank the mob?
