The Spirit Realm

Since our promised DPS increase from underfoot is a disappointment at best I was thinking. Perhaps we could go about getting an indirect DPS increase, gaining utility rather than raw DPS.

For group situations:
New aura - one that gives 2-3% damage increase, not great for us, good for a group
Holy Lynx - give us a weak form of lynx line, maybe 200-300 damage, linked to a crush if neccessary
Alter 2nd spire - change it to be a group ability rather than self

Ideas for a triggered AA
Conflicting Interests - doubles the mana cost of direct healing spells, turns them into damage spells, wave and aurora excluded. Lasts 2 minutes, leaves a buff on so you can switch back to using heals if needed. 1-1.5 hour re use.

Surge of Honor - triggered, 25-30 min reuse, increase DPS / decrease tanking by 30%, lasts 1 min, slay unaffected

The last 2 allow us some direct DPS, but it comes at a price, like everything else for the paladin. Anyone have other ideas? Maybe if we come up with some good alternatives theyll throw us a bone for screwing us on real DPS again.

We dont need to sacrifice tanking ability for gain dps. I am against any ability that will sacrifice our healing or tanking skills to improve our damage.

2nd spire affecting group I like.

as far as a DPS aura or lynx I personally am a little avert to. i just don't see them as fitting into the class well and would see stacking issues put in with them just because that's the way SoE operates (i.e. not stacking with shaman buffs).

There have been countless suggestions as to how to do this spread about hundreds of threads. Everything from discs to spells to AAs. It would be a good idea to consolidate those ideas onto a thread and start tallying up which ideas we support in general and then bringing that to the devs for consideration ... or at least for the sake of getting ignored by them again.

New Spell Group Slay (MGBABLE), allows the paldins ranks of slay undead/vanquish undead to apply to everyone in group. Should give a boost bigger then Berserkers warcry but on limited content.

Just saying if you go for the "attributable DPS" thing.

Even would add stackability on raids where there were undead.

What about a reflect melee spell/disc? Something like the reflect spell that casters got back in LDON.

It could either reflect all/some of the damage put out by a mob back at itself for a duration/number of hits, or have a % chance to reflect for a duration.

If, because the damage mobs are putting out now, this seems too overpowering (mitigating the mob as well as damaging it) it could just be damaging the mob by the amount it damages you by at the same time.

This would have 0 effect on our slay dps, as it wouldnt be our dps increasing so it wouldnt up our slays. It could even be tagged as undead immune if it was felt we had too much dps against undead.

If we have to reduce something to get a dps DISP I am all for it just use it when you know its a good time : P. I rather have something that I can burn with and get some good dps than nothing at all.

My suggestion would be 1 min duration all hits crit while our healing is reduced 50%

AND

Remake Holyforge into something that is atleast useful in current content if they gave us both those we would be atleast some sort of DPS on burn fights.
