Goofy AA Idea 2

Was thinking a bit the other night and was wondering what you guys think about this AA idea that will never come to pass.

Cost 15AA
This ability grants an opportunity for a resurrection window to appear whenever a paladin falls in battle.

Basically, the idea is, if you die, and go to hover, a resurrection window has a chance to appear, so you can immediately (or wait until everything is gone) be rezzed back into a fight, but with the disadvantage of rez effects, and loss of aggro. Basically would just allow you to die and pop back up as if someone had gotten the opportunity to rez you. I mean the clerics get Touch of the Divine, and Druids and Shammies got that second life, doesn't seem like it would be impossible to code something in that goes off when you die hehe.

You would have the potential to LoH - aov - and then the rez box procs ... LoH is refreshed.

Wouldnt have to be 100% chance to fire, set it at 1% then once in a blue moon you get an insta rez.

At 1% could even start a thread here for who's had it fire and where.

I'd rather have our self-DI power back, but this is a decent idea anyway. Would have to be way more often than 1% though. Call it 50%, and its not a rez, but like a call. Still strips mana/endurance/buffs ect.

Its a class in WoW that can rez themselves back in after they die, isn't it? I remember thinking how nice that would be in EQ when a group wipes on a bad pull, but at a place that takes them a while to get to.

Nice idea but would rather not have it as a random chance. Once every so many hours like the vet rewards. Guess some could see some problems with that.

I am just tired on spending AA on random results.

Could make it a passive AA with a reuse timer. Like it goes off automatically, but it won't go off again for an hour or so.

This could be pretty useful as an AA, it would probably have to be a buff that was cast on yourself when you click it, with maybe a duration to recast ratio of 1/3 maybe, so that if the buff lasted 30 minutes, the recast would be 90 minutes. I think you could definitely work with this, but how soon would other rezzing classes cry foul.

Would be a nice alternate to Touch of the Divine, we would have to actually die instead of camp out and come back.... could be just as progressive, perhaps slightly less than Touch fires per rank.

I don't rez any more now than I have since getting Call of the Wild in OoW. Shm/dru rez is 100%... unused.

Thats humorous , you pop into threads and make posts , I dont use this so obviously no one else possible could be using this either so that totally discounts its very existence and relevance.... fact is it exists and it is used, yes I know it only usable outta combat and Mercs have a better one.

I've nothing to say about paladin rezzes, I was just saying boukk and karkariace were entirely right to leave dru & shm out of the discussion. We don't rez now just like we've never rezzed.

i dont know any clerics that would complain about pallis and other lcasses gettin 96%. they been beggin for others to have it due to raid rezzing

Necromancers already have quite a lot of "get out of jail free cards".

Thinking about rezzes more these day ..... wonder why. I have been thinking that I'd like to see improvements to the Cleric and Paladin rez AAs.

For paladins, one that reduces the cast time on it.

For both, an upgrade that remains at 96% and 90% but without rez effects.

This would make them more attractive as people would be able to recover faster by going straight into OOC regen and as an AA it isn't something any merc could do instead, making player rezzes attractive once again.

I like it, but convincing the devs is the much harder part. Anything that gets rid of rez effects might encroach on the divine rez effect.

Well, it still wouldn't be 100%. And clerics being able to "almost DR" at 96% every time probably wouldn't complain either. Doing this would put rez or rez-type abilities back in order of Cleric > Paladin > Druid/Shaman I think ..... I prefer to not remember that necros exist and don't think they need anything like this anyways.
