- This is for the next expansion, don't expect to see anything until then.

- Avoid smart ass remarks about Slay Undead and don't cross-mix topics. Leave the Slay discussion in the Slay discussion thread.

- Keep debate to a bare minimun. This is a data collecting thread, not some pissing match.

- If possible, make only 1 post. You may edit it and add/remove/re-order or whatever at any time for the next 25 days, at which point the thread will be locked, tallied, and submitted.

- Avoid anything that would require new code. Stick with whats already in-game and can be modified/adapted for us.

- Format all ideas under the the appropriate AA Tab. If yer not sure, do your best:

6) AA that allows all spires to be used at once, but at the detriment of a significantly increased recast on the spires.
7) Hasten Gift of Resurrection
8) Additional Ranks of Hastened Purification
9) Rodcet's Blessing- Increases the duration of sanctification by 6 seconds per rank as well as reducing the reuse timer (first three ranks) Additional ranks will further increase the duration.
10) Marr's Blessing - Increases the Amount of Damage The Blank of Blank lines will absorb before dissipating by 25, 50, and 100%

General:
1) Mod 2 increasers (Maybe then group geared toons could be allowed to reach the old 35% cap instead of being kept at 28% or so)EDIT: With perfect choices and sacrificing about 20 worn ac can get shielding to 30% and avoidance at 84 but may not be worth it as it also entails a sacrifice of HDex and HAgi.

Archetype:
1) Flurry aa's (Even bards get these and they recieve both double and triple attack later than us.)
2)Accuracy AA's (Knight's seem to have lowest Acc of all melee classes)
3)Hastened Radiant cure (Pallies get stuck on cure duty often enough it's warranted)



Class:
1) Holy Fervor (Pally Version of Soul Abrasion increases self buff procs)

1. Class AA, Dauntless Perseverence, which provide 100 percent immunity to melee stun.
2. Class AA, Tactical Mastery, enough said about this one, huge huge boost to dps when tanking.
3. Class AA, LARGE group heal over time AA that can be MGBed.
3. Class AA, more accuracy and/or dps AA.

General:
1) Increase mod2 caps (even instead of the normal defensives would be fine)
2) Tradeskill cap increases

Archtype:
1) Hastened Radiant Cure (At least up to one tier behind the priest classes)
2) Upgraded ranks of radiant cure
3) Innate fizzle reduction

Class:
1) Gift of Resurrection 2 (96% rez)
2) Unresistable single target taunt, long reuse like 1.5 minutes (code exists in AE form for warriors, so this holds)
3) Bestow DA, uses same timer as AA DA, just targetable
4) Voice of Courage: Same stack as the SK ability Voice of Thule, instead of increase agro multiplier it would be defensive, like increase base mitigation by a similar percent. SK ability would not stack with this one, neither would over-write the other.
5) Act of Honor, Act of Resiliance (Honor bestows all the paladins mana to a person, Resiliance bestows all the paladins Endurance to a person, all on same timer, idea based on knytul's post)
6) Self-riteousness (An activated effect that lasts like 10 minutes, 40 min reuse, that will autofire LoH on yourself if you take mortal damage and LoH is available, idea stolen from orionpax, not sure if this would require new code or not, so might be not possible)
7) Pegasus mount (cooler graphic, lev + mount, give same thing to SK's with different name and graphic)

-1)5sec stun aa 12sec refresh cap 93(if next ext cap is 90)
-2)AA that make heal cast on yourself land for more than if it was on other target(6 rank, 5% a rank)
-3)AA that make heal proc much better (like a LOT better, something that atleast rival totc, not the crap we have right now)
-4)DI AA (if not done via spell)
-5) AA that ma DA aa also cure all detrimental and put a heal recourse.
-6)Root AA
-7)98% REZ AA (or97% as long as its more than merc s rez)
-8)AA that make bash do lot more damage
-9)Some more DPS AA (it s needed)
-10)Horse upgrade (in speed)

Archetype::
-1)Flurry AA.

How about a Pegasus Horse with Wings? SKS get the flaming feet.... Ours can have wings with Bard speed and Levitation. AND can have another person "ride"with us on the back... What do you think?

1- New Force of Disruption (with 4 sec stun like our spells)
2- AoE Hate ( I too am sick of not having this; we have few sks on our server and lots of paladins makes no sense our CC class on raids dont have)
3- Divine Arb (like the cleric aa but maybe longer recast ? )
4- Armor of the Inquisitor upgrade ( grant AC and Healing abilities to GRP not just self for the 2min buff)
5- New Pacify (a pile of classes have some sort of Paci type thing now maybe add one to us)
6- Holyforge disp AA that lowers Reuse
7- Celestial Regeneration type HoT (can MGB like clerics but lower end)

Archtype AA
8-Gift of Mana
9- Flurry ( or some sort of dps upgrade)

General:
1) 5 more buff slots
2) AA to raise basic Attribute caps (STR, STA, INT, WIS, AGI, DEX, CHA)
3) AA to raise innate corruption resist
4) AA to raise resist caps by another 50 or so.
5) AA to raise tradeskill caps by another 50 or so. 300 cap with mod is still far from the highend trivial

Arch:
1) A few more level in triple attack (Burst of Power)
2) AA to shorten recast time of radiant cure

Class:
1) A few more level in Speed of the Knight a little more
2) AA to shorten Discipline reuse time
3) AA to improve your actual AC return past the Hard AC cap (it does not have to be as good as a warrior, but it should not be so far off)
4) AA to conserve more mana since many classes get twincast or gift of mana...
5) AA to increase Shielding cap by 5
6) New mount, faster speed with auto-levi
7) TwinSlay

** some kind of upgrade or new aa in line of Pacify SK's FD is still good as is but our Pacify died so long ago...

I'll limit my lists to those things which are not given to paladins every aa expansion already (or, at least, when any other class gets an upgrade: e.g. Combat Agility, et. al.). If it is deemed important to list all the lines we do not want discontinued, I'll expand my list at a later time. Some of the class aa would be more thoughtful, but the warning to try to avoid mechanics that are not in the game inhibits that list.

General:
1.) Mnemonic Retention - 3-10 more ranks :P
2.) Mystical Attuning - 3-5 more ranks.
3.) Innate Ultravision - hey, I'm a human, so sue me.
4a.) Loyal Follower - 5-25% (5 ranks?) reduction in Tribute drain. I'd recommend this for a class aa that could perhaps be shared with priests, but I'm sure it would be considered a balance issue.
4b.) Converse description with same result: tribute donations gain +5-25% of their value. I suspect this would be an easier solution than 4a, but I really don't know.

Archetype:
1.) Destructive Fury - additional ranks.
2.) Heroic stats +10 to say . . . 2 of the stats. (for hybrids this could be agi/dex - leave str/sta for the melee, int or wis/sta for the casters/priests).
3.) Rampage mitigation - this doesn't exactly fit as an archetype, but I think war/pal/sk could get something that acts as a DI shift versus rampage hits. This one I thought about a couple times, but I don't think that new coding would be required, since innate DI shift exists for warriors already. I suppose that coding abilities to work only against certain kinds of attacks would be possibly new, but the concept of the return strike aa types make me think it might exist in some form already.

Class:
1.) Shield Mastery: Bash attacks performed when a shield is equipped have an increased chance to critically harm your opponent. I think this should apply to 2h bashes as well, but I can't come up with a reasonable explanation for why that would work. Perhaps make this damage into crippling blows, so as not to conflict with Cleave.
2.) Touch of The Divine (few/many ranks behind clerics) - still miffed they changed Silent Piety then allowed shm/dru to get self-DI later on down the road.
3.) Turn Undead (few/many ranks behind clerics) - really, why don't we have this already? I'd say give us equal/more ranks than clerics but I can't come up with a reasoned argument for it at present.
4.) Radiant Cure - additional ranks.
5.) Hastened Curing - DUH. I can only hope the waste that is Quickened Curing was a precursor to giving us this aa in a future expansion.
6.) Holy Pegasus - the primary reason against this is gone, since a mount with levitate drops in SoD raiding.
7.) Honorable Aura - converts the recourse from our Hate-over-time spells into a group recourse. Put it in in ranks, such that each rank only affects each new version of the spell (tss, sof, sod, etc.), if deemed necessary.
8.) Holy Armor - Innate damage shield (large value) versus undead.

Special:
1.) Glyph of Divine Resurrection - Divine Resurrection, with a decent cost - same re-use as cleric aa, only ours could be left one step worse than theirs via expendable status. Grasping at straws, I know. Perhaps give this to all 5 classes that can rez (clerics could use theirs twice as often if they chose to use the glyph version, keeps them ahead as they should be).
2.) Glyph of Invisibility - five minute timed invisibility, seriously. I get that we aren't going to get the spell, throw us a bone.

I will have to think about this some more, I could swear I had more abilities in mind when I first saw this thread . . .

General

1. Mystical Attuning. Didnt get any in the last expansion.

Archtype

1. Advanced Weaponskills. I've suggested this before, but I still like it, so I am going to mention it again. Melee and hybrid Architype AA. Increases the rate of Crit, parry, (block), reposte, etc on different weapon types. Melee would get all weapon types (i.e. one line of AA for 1 H S, one line of AA for 1 H B) and Hybrid would get the same only the cost of each additional line would ramp up in cost, if 1 line is started (i.e. 1 h s rks are 3/6/9, if you purchase rkI, 1 h b would be 4/8/12 etc) or Have hybrid being able to only specialize in one weapon type at a time, a new line could be purchased, but the 1st line is lost.

2. The ability to use a 2 handed Slash and a shield at once, but with a penalty. RkI could be 50% effectiveness in in both sword and shield, RkIII being 90% effectiveness. Either that or reduce the stats when both are equipped (AC, dmg), the reduced stats would be less severe the more ranks you purchased. This would be a tank ability, and I'd suggest that warriors got either an enhanced agro factor (though they have a Shield agro AA already) or better effectiveness with the weapons.


3. Flurry AA.

4. Fury of Magic new levels.

Class

1.Call to the Gods. The Paladin channels the power of his god into a powerful Nuke (DD, AE, AOE, it would need to be worked out). Each race or religion of Paladin, would have a different ability (Prexus, would be a water attack, Karana Air(wind), Brell....erm rock). At 1st I though a timer to use this ability but then I struck upon another idea, seems more 'fun' or more in character. Say the 1st rank of the AA would AOE all mobs for 1000 (I am just using the type of spell and amount as an illustration) but you had to kill 50 xp mobs to be able to use it at its full capacity (so you kill 25 mobs, then use the AA, and it dmges for 500). Each rank increases the damage done, and the number of kills that must be done to obtain the maximum damage. So the lore would be that you must nobly vanquish foes and the more evil you erradicate, the more your God will come to your aid in your time of need. This could also be done for SK's with an obvious more evil blurb. The DD/AOE would have a resist line.

2. Pally flying horse, extra speed would be good, but most important is it flys. Its in game already.

3. MGB of AA group heal.

4. Increase healing for Aurora of Dawnlight line/add pets to healing list.
4a. Add 10%/20%/30% of healing gift benefit to AoD

5. New AA : Quake in the presence of honor; Reduces Attack 500, double attack by 10%, all resists on mob by 100 for 2 mins, recastable every 15 mins.

You'll have to forgive me because I'm not 100% how many of my suggestions already exist in game in some form or will need coding.

General
1) Additional ranks of Mystical Attuning
2) Additional levels of Foraging to increase foraging skill caps
3) Additional ranks of Salvage
4) Autotrophic - eliminates the need to eat and drink

Archetype
1) Additional ranks of Weapon Affinity
2) Increased Accuracy AAs
3) Innate AAs to increase atk not just the cap of atk.
4) An Innate mana preservation AA
5) Additional ranks of Radiant Cure
6) Additional ranks of Quickened Radiant Cure

Class
1) An AA that acts like Divine Intervention and makes Lay Hands go off if it's up and you take mortal damage
2) Divine Protector - a reversed version of living shield, so that the paladin opts to take damage for another character, perhaps successive ranks determine either how much damage a paladin can take for another person and/or for how long the effect lasts
3) An additional rank of Knight's Return Strike that procs a stun instead of just bashing.
4) An AA innate version of second life (chance? I can't remember what the tribute item is called).
5) AA Pacifiy.
6) AA Root.
7) AA Sense the Dead that's instant.

Let the sks high blood pressure rise once more.
What about something like Strike of the Seraphim that would be some number of angels spinning around you causing damage to all nearby creatures?
The effect would be ae dmg and ae aggro with limited usage maybe once every 72 minutes.

2) More ranks in Battle Ready (bandolier), ALOT more

9) AE Force of Disruption (yes i didnt forget)
10) AA Pacify that level cap is upgraded by amt of AA's in it. Max AA in this is always current level + 2 to compensate for yellows, but not reds.
11) More Ranks in Knights Advantage
12) AA to make Purification usable on others, or a group Purification.
13) Refund Cloak of Light
14) Boost 2nd and 3rd Spires, or make them group too like 1st spire.
15) Bestow Divine Aura

Special
16) Steadfast Servant. Have his abilities scale up based on Level of the toon. by 85 he should be HoT'n ALOT more than he is now. Make this bad boy useful again.
17) Trials of Mata Muram: Remove all the lockout timers on MPG Trials so people can go do these in 1 shot without havin to wait forever to do trial #2.
18) Infusion of the Faithful: Allow it to have run 8 so it actually increases run speed.
19) AA's to decrease timers on such specials like Expedient Recovery. Maybe get it down to 1x every 24 hours.


Too much of our stuff is "Self Only". Our Epic 2.0, our Tunare line, DA, our crappy Haste spell that should be raised to 50%.....Make some of our abilities share more to the group so we are more "beneficial" since we are the "Beneficial Knight".

Hey new to the threads here, shammy friend of mine said I should voice my opinion : ).

General::
1) Increase mod2 caps
2) Maybe something that adds innate shielding/avoidance (reasonable to be AA expensive on shielding)

Archetype::
1) FLURRY! I've made a ranger alt just because I get bored hitting so slow on my pally.
2) More AA's for Double/Triple attacks
3) Accuracy AA's
4) Gift of Mana

Class::
1) More 2hander AA's "Knights Advantage"
2) Bash attack modifiers or double bash even?
3) Upgrade our "Healing Light" and "Blessing of Life" AA's so that they cure as well, maybe 1-3 counters of poison/disease/corrupt per proc?
4) Pegasus mount (cooler graphic, lev + mount, give same thing to SK's with different name and graphic)

It shouldn't be hard to update healing light and blessing they are recent additions and coding for cures with heals is already in game. maybe with new ranks we get add a counter or 2 per rank cured in addition to increases or in lieu of heal increases on them.

Ah, wasn't aware of such events, I've barely had time to raid as of late, especially anything above SoF.

But perhaps it can be an activated ability, say for two minutes your swings have a chance to proc cures? That way you can sort of toggle wither you want it on or not. There's been many times where we don't have enough clerics and/or shamans and they stick me in the group to heal/cure, this AA would be great to have.

In conclusion:

Class::
1) "Pureblade" - Similar to our "Healing Light" and "Blessing of Life" AA's, have an AA that can be activated for about 1-5 minutes which will proc cures (1-3 counters of disease/poison/corruption) on swings and/or stuns.

Nah, didn't raid TSS either actually haha. But yeah, that's my idea, scrutinize it if ya want, but I think it'll be a decent AA.

Take note I changed the AA from being passive to being activated, that way we won't wipe a raid for curing whatever we don't want cured.

Since making Healing light etc cure would be a detriment in some raids I retract my wish to include it unless it is included as an activated ability. Maybe give us a secondary triggerable ability which for 5 minutes grants x counters cured to these buffs with a 10 minute reuse timer or even a reuse equal to the triggered ability.

Class - 1 Aoe Hate. I dont care how, I dont care what the form is, I dont care how much mana it costs. Its long overdue.
2 Improved Blessing of Resurrection. Decrease the recast time to around 10secs, and bump us up to, say, a 92 or 93% rez. With mercs everyone has access to 96% rez now so
giving paladins an improved rez isnt as game changing as it used to be.
3 Pegasus mount. I realize some coding/design may need to be done with this for a sutable graphic, but my understanding is this has been in the works and hopefully would
not require too much time and effort.

1. Move Weapon Affinity to general. Let all classes purchase it. Add a few more ranks. Watch out for priest spam hammers.

Archetype:
1. Minimum damage mod 3/8/15% for knight melee. Cost: 9/12/15 AAs per rank. Purchasable at 75/80/85. Cumulative w/ Ferocity VII+

Paladin Class:
1. Add a melee chance to proc a 4s/lvl75/80/85/90 stun w/ melee. Cost: 12/12/12/12 AAs per rank, purchasable at 75/80/85/90. Generates 500 hate per proc. Tune to proc 5 times a minute with max CE / WA / dex.
