spell sets for specific gems

did you know you could have a spell set of three spells, and the other slots will remain as they were? I only realized this a couple weeks ago. If I click off all of my spells, then mem brells in the last slow and save the set as B R E L L S, then when i /mem B R E L L S with all ten spells memmed, only the 10th slot changes.

Going from this, I made a base - raid - spell set, with all the heal and stun trappings I use every raid, and then memmed a - raid buff - set for self buffs when i res or die, a - aura - set since it only lasts for the short duration, and a few others.

I combined this by also reconfiguring my hotkeys, now ctrl+1 takes me to page one of hotkeys, so with a quick button combo i can take myself to page 3 where all of my /mem spellset hotkeys are stored. There are nine or ten of them i believe.

But doing this makes memming spells easy and painless, and I leave a special experimental spell set for changes on the fly to be saved when they're made, and if they are worth saving i make them a new permanent hotkey.

I realize http://samanna.net/eq.shaman/tips.shtml is nearly a year and a half old, but the principle still applies.

My main set has 10 (was 9) "normal" spells; then gems 3-6 are swapped out for various circumstances; more if soloing.
