If I read the pal channel properly earlier, it's either a zonewide random or chest reward from the new Mechanical Guardian mission. The mission is given by Gearbie in PoK, he sits between two buildings against a tree near the potranq stone. It's an easy mission up until the boss, which isn't too difficult once you get the hang of the adds. The hardest part of the whole mission really was getting past the goo type monsters in a couple spots, they are packed nice and tight together so you'll have to be careful splitting them or running by them.

Absolutely comes from the chest from the group 12th aniv mission.

Fun mission.

Anyone know when this mission ends? Completed it 3 times so far, 2 x 26AC mana augs and a 33AC one but still looking for the 38AC one!

End of next month I think.

There are two aug's called the Hardened Steel Spur, AC38 from the 90th mission and a AC36 from the below 90th version.

My question is both items are called the same name and are Lore, does that mean you can only loot one version or is there a hidden ID code to make them two different items?

They're not lore grouped.

Mission is pretty easy, every mob we had to fight was stunnable. Went in with me (pally), SK, CLR, and 2 zerkers with a merc healer and got all the way to the last room using invis and killing only the mobs we actually needed on the way. Dropped the merc for a wizzy that joined us late. The CPU is also stunnable, we just burned down the adds each wave, my DPS alone on the CPU was almost enough to get it down the 20% while the rest of the group killed the 4 adds each wave.

Without at least 2 tanks, you really need some form of CC for that end fight.

Have I been extremely unlucky or is the 38 AC aug rare?

10 Level 90 runs so far and no AC aug!

I have done two runs and it dropped both times.

I've done it like 4 times so far, no luck with it, but I think 10 times is just unlucky. The drop table has a few items so it's just a matter of time.

Have done it once and got it, just luck it seems.

Finally, 17 missions down the line, I am the proud owner of the 38AC aug ... phew!

Also, did a run at the lower level version, the same named lower version augs are NOT LOOTABLE if you already own the higher level version.
