These are on Test Right now. All I can say is, DAMN.
These weapons border on tower quality, and the Staff of Forbidden rites, having two aug slots, and being a viable blunt, may actually give paladins a nonpiercing End game option, although....it is a bit disconcerting, how powerful these are compared to the one handers. I understand them wanting to increase two handed ratios, but it seems a bit wrong to increase it here and not in the other places where weapons have similiar ratios. Also weird that that one has two aug slots, and the other one doesn't, but the int caster one was. Maybe they just consider us priests and not melee? Or maybe they are secretly planning to add two aug slots to two handers? who knows lol.

I still think the vox staff shoud be monk usable just like they used to be

When you think about the ratio on the 2hb it actually only matters for paladins. Not like anyone is worried about us getting super 2hb ratios considering our dps sucks anyways. I'll be surprised if the ratio stays though.

Staff of Forbidden Rights: 157/36
One slot with 7dmg augment: 164/36 = 4.56 ratio
Both slots with 7dmg augments: 171/36 = 4.75 ratio

Corrupted Soul Piercer: 139/31
One slot with 7dmg aug: 146/31 = 4.71 ratio

That's not going to stay that way, I bet.

The augs I'm referring to are (slot 8) and (slot 4,8).

Vox stick is better either way for the reasons stated above.

man, day i see myself equipped with 171 dmg is the day im goin to Lorekeeper in FC1...

Do you know how many brew points the stick will be? 62 or something?

Expect a nerf. I wouldn't buy it right away if I was any of you. They might just remove paladin entirely from it instead of dropping dmg, so I'd save your brews so you don't throw like 30 down the toilet after buy back.

Honestly can't see this weapon (aswell as all the other ones anyway) go live with tower ratio.
I d probably still buy aug first even if it was left as is, as the next extention is going to see 2hand/knight1hand/priest weapon having a very big boost.

The nerf, as you call it, isn't really a huge thing considering the weapon will still be better than the axe (the alternative); prior to the changes currently on test it was far, far worse and only usable for the click.

Even if the nerf is just removing one of the aug slots, it's still a very good weapon comparable to tower. I'll be getting it to replace my (from Venom Lord) until I can get a Corrupted Soul Piercer.

The staff will only have 1 aug slot, not 2.

I checked the Old Man on test and the mask of the lost Guktan is not for sale on him.

I'm confused, are the devs really so stupid as to give people the "choice" between a guktan illusion (unlimited charges), gold ticket, or...a 5 charge gate potion or beastlord crack potion?

I'm sort of, speechless and the difference in those choices.
