Wait... you're comparing SoD Group Armor to Crystallos Raid Armor?
Other than Heroics on some slots (considering a lot of Paladin Crys/MMM gear lacks agi/dex), Prismatic Gallant-Lord wins hands down.

Yeah cryst raid armor is better, would even say MMM cores are.

Calculated with a metal orb from raidloot.com's armor set feature. That is a hell of a lot of AC to lose in my book, and even a loss of HP overall. The mod2's are different for the SoD gear, and I'm sure some of the focus effects will probably go up to 85, but since its group gear it probably starts off as less of a boost on the focuses anyway.

Plus on the group gear, the chest aug will never function at 100%, so the uber chest aug that you can get in the crystallos gear will be gimped a bit in the group stuff.

The biggest factor for a lot of folks is the availability of the MMM cores ... without them you CAN NOT make Crystalos armor set. You have to spend 3 to 4 times the amount of time doing MMM clears as you do Crystalos clears in order to farm the same amount of cores. Right up to the Air wing boss in crystalos is easier than MMM or so it seems, with double the amount of essences to be had. Any guild that can clear MMM will have little if no problems with events right up to Air boss that event has a much bigger learning curve than all the rest. With a bit of work and time you can make a complete set of SoD tier 5 nps.

Knights and Warriors take the biggest hit in lost stats between tier 5 groupable and crystalos raid. You could perhaps add the other melee classes in there as well due to cleave and fero being on arms and legs. Where as casters and priests can make up a lot of the lost INT and Wis by min maxing the Heroics and other mod 2s on the groupable Tier 5 set Knights and Warriors cannot say same for the lost AC. What I see a lot of folks doing is min maxing their gear by getting Tier 5 SoD groupable in visible slots and saving their dkp for non vis slots or vice versa.

Well now they made this less time consuming to get a set of Crystallos Raid Visible gear. The need to get the MMM drop is no longer neccessary.....
