Is Blade of Forgotten Faith considered as an upgrade for me (72 Paladin) or both weapons would do about the same damage ? If it is an upgrade, is it a minor or major upgrade ? I've maxxed out both defensive (CS, CA, shield block) and offensive AAs for my level as you can see from my magelo profile. Thank you in advance for your inputs

Id say more side grade for tanking harder content the 2 hander with sotk will be better dps where your fine tanking with it but if its dicey swapping in boff plus shield will help a lot.

Changes to 1 hander and shield will be a decent boost in tanking. It comes from the shield not the 1 hander, boff is a great tanking weapon btw. The dps side will be a download grade especially since you have maxed all the offensive aa.

I recently got the BoFF. I was surprised to see that it was a type 8 aug slot. (just never noticed before I actually got it.)
My Anger II aug is slot 4 .

Recommendations for good, type 8, tanking aug for this?

Some sort of dd aug combine with a stun component would do ok.

BOFF I would call and upgrade, but only because I am a believer that all paladins should carry a variety of weapons. As already noted, it will probably be less DPS unless you are doing undead, in which case it will be close. But the advantage of having a shield while tanking is quite large, especially with the shield block AA line.

@Brickand, any weapon gotten via raid targets is going to have a slot 8. Only groupable gear will have slot 4, and only the Epic has both. If you want a seriously good tanking weapon, I would tell you to hunt the . Its a long camp, but it just makes the BoFF even better.
