They never 'ignored' it, more of they still had their chance to strikethrough and still land 1/10 hits or whatever the true ratio would be.

I wouldnt expect it to be usable every 10 or 15 mins. I would be fine with the 40 min option after AAs to lower the timer. Hell, our Holyforge has a longer reuse timer then that already and its argueably our best disc. To be honest, I wouldn't even mind if it was tied into the AA line of Shield block somehow forcing us to complete that line before we could use/scroll the ability. Shield block AAs have always been a high priority for our class anyway so no biggie with making a requirement. I would also feel SKs are deserving of the same... so don't anyone derail this with a 'why only paladins' line.

Of course there would have to be some drawbacks to the disc.. I would expect a decrease in melee damage or hit ratio at least, maybe even a snare considering if your intentions were to block with a shield, you wouldnt be moving around.


Its use for me would be to help with the initial tanking of a named mob in a zone like Steam Factory. It would be useful for nothing more then to allow a few more seconds of agro build up so a healer doesnt get one rounded or for the slower to be able to attempt a second slow if the first was resisted. I'm sure people could find a use for it in raid situations, but nothing thats going to change or lessen a warriors role. Even if you've got enough warriors to off tank adds, giving knights a 12 second disc isnt going to make any guild change their methods. If they put a snare on it, it would be useless for us to use it with pulling.. considering we can DA pull right now and have that for 24seconds.



Kinda getting back to the original posting... how many paladins/SKs out there are tanking the named mobs in the Tier 3 zones and doing it well? What lvl of progression are ya and what kinda group/party make up does it take for you to tank a named in tier 3. I'm sure there are a few who buff to 23khp/4.2k ac that dont have much of a problem... but thats a long ways off for the majority of people.
