No, sublimes shouldnt be hit. Hit the armor. Anybody can make the armors just by hitting 300 skill in smithing, tailoring, or tinkering. The exalted and sublime augs take very annoying, and extremely time consuming quests. I know, because I did them. I did both quests in a mini raid, and to do both took almost a full week with 6 to 10 hour days with a min of 12 people there at all times, up to 20. And in fort mech, hunting reavers, 15 man mini raids wiped left and right due to massive aggro in the blimp. You aggro one mob, and a ton more come with it. You learn how to handle that, but this was after 10+ wipes over a 4 day period.

So no, if something needs nerfed, it is the armor. Those augs are a bitch to complete the quests for, and they deserve to be the better of the armor/augment duo.

And for those of you thinking he just wants to make plat, your damn right I do. For those of you thinking he is only saying that because he did the quest, your damn right to. If you want to think im elitist, go for it. But the point is, I did the quest, I ground it out, I found it to be the worst quest, with only one in the history of eq being worse to me, and that being stormfeather during velious. I feel I earned the right to make those nice augs, and they are so nice due to the insane time sink any normal player would have to endure to finish the quests. Just imagine having to pharm a rare spawn mob in both direwind and fort mech, need 40 of them, and need to get an update that just happens sometimes when you kill said rare mob. Its a random occurance, one which a friend of mine had to kill 70 of the direwind shamans to get, 30 more than needed for the quest.

Nothing personal, but after going through those quests, I don't think anybody deserves to say the armor is fine and the augs need nerfed. Go do the quest yourselves, then say that.

Okay, let me see if I get this right. So if I have just Elaborate Armor with Eminent Symbols (req. 65 rec. 69) and NO Last Blood or Bazu Seal or whatever... then after this nerf my stats will become enhanced??? Have they specified in what way? Will more of the mod2's be moved over, or maybe even focus effects??

The mods/focus will not be moved but stats on the armor itself will increase. So if the change is made, those without raid type 12 augs will see an improvement in the base armor.

I agree with Bruennor about the augs. Just doing the level 70 quest is a bitch at level 70. While I've been pumping out the armor, I can't make the augs because I haven't finished the quest. The augs should be where the money is at.

So your position is that since you raided two years ago, you should have better armor than people who are raiding six months from now? That's what the situation is. Bazu-auged Elegant/Sublime armor > current raid drops.
