The quest really is a piece of cake. I've done it for both of my bots already and the bracer is fantastic. I tried to do it a second time since the bracer isn't lore, but the giant wouldn't give the quest a second time. Bit o info - You don't have to have the quest to get started. You can collect your four pelts, head to Vald, get quest and hand in all at once. Saves you a trip. On Emarr, bears are kited by necros all the time. They seem to be pretty generous about letting you have the pelts if you ask nicely.
