Paladin - Progression

So I have been playing a Paladin on live for awhile now and am really enjoying. I wanted to try out the Progression server and do a Pal/Dru box.. The Druid I am set on, but I don't know how the Paladin class was for tanking back during those days. I assume that stuns aren't as prevalent until Luclin? Without those, what is the best way to agro? Is there really a point in even playing a Paladin?
Thanks

As long as they aren't using the original spell lists (remember spell levels?), stuns (Cease, Desist) and bash and just hit agro will be your main tools. Heals don't really get effective until the 60's, but group heals with progression gear will be useful on the high end.
As far as if there is a point, depends on your goal really. SK is a little easier to kill with since you plan to bot a healer. If you plan to raid in the future, I think a paladin is easier to raid with. /shrug, just a preference really.

It isn't the original spell lines, but Cease and Desist aren't in...because you can only buy them in PoK,Crescent? First stun isn't until 28 I believe, so it just seems like a difficult task tanking at lower levels.

There isn't really much difference between the tank classes at lower level. When you get your stuns, it is just great. Flash of light that blind mobs are great for aggro, just be very careful when using in dungeon as it can get some really awesome trains. In that situation you need to make sure you stick right next to the mob when tanking.
