You cant really make anything up with augs becouse the better gear can have the same aug added and then you are lost again.
It was like the fun arguments devs came out with in Ldon.
Want to equip your old underpowered epic agan ! now add an aug and it will be much more powerfull and in line with new gear !
About TBS and TSS the visible gear slots finally got some half decent armor TBS around tacvi level (close to 4 year old expansion), the problem is it is only the visible gear slots, the rest have the hp, mana and even the effects but it lack in ac.

Dindauer i did try soltaires mission 3 once (when i had 2800 ac) it took us 4 hours to get to the temple and cleric had to spam me with fast heals to keep me up, when he tried to use CH he usually had to interupt it to spam me or i would die.
I have no doubt i could tank it now 300 ac makes quite a diffrence but i also know that soltaires 4 (from exerience) and soltaires 5 and 8 (from reading) is alot harder.

Kianor i would hardly call anguish (6 expansions and 3 years) and tacvi (7 expansions and 3.5 years) for a few expansions old but here is the links you are asking for.

I would say zhisza gear is roughly equal to tacvi and silyssar gear roughly equal to low anguish (4 first encounters) and will use same comparison.

Ughbash the way i am reading you, then you are taking 1 aug and say see raiders cant use this !
In essence you can fill out all your aug slots with augs who is as good or better as this one.

And zsazsa what you say is partly true but also many of the links from raid gear is useable by all hybrids / melee to and still have way higher ac.

Now we have around 19 slots for gear ?
If we in 11 of them (the non visible) lose an awerage of 15-20 ac then its 15*11 = 165 gear ac wich translate to around 165*1.5 = 250 ac (247.5 if you are a nit pick) (if you say 20 instead you get 330 ac).
I think 250-330 ac is quite a bit.
The problem is its all over and all expansions, Tss, por, DoD you name it
Just take the ring dindauer mentioned 12 ac ? ring from AoW in velius had 30 ac (or 35 not sure).

Again i say that the thread is that in my opinion ac on group obtaineble gear (group = people in group obtaineble gear) is to low compared to what the mods / hp / mana suggest it should be

to answer your question i have yet to try and tank the content you describe, but if any paladins who frequent these boards have completed soltaires acces as main tank, in gear they got by grouping only with people in group obtaineble gear only (aka not propelled forward by their 5 friends in township rebellion or a guild like that), then id like to hear it.
Because according to the devs then soltaires progression should be doable by people in purely group gear.

Also now i went to all that troubble of makign links comparing tacvi/coa gear to silyssar and zhsiza gear and none comment on them even thou the diffrences in ac is pretty eyecatching like 50+ %

I like how you quote my ac aug list!
I highly doubt a 1 group geared tank is going to be finishing all the solaris flagging missions with equally geared groupmates. Daffie buffs to 18k hp and 4k ac and he had some trouble tanking the flurry snake that summons adds (that is with TONS of AC augs and some older raid content gear, ie anguish.)
outside of fabled, i don't think anyone can argue with the fact that itemization of AC stuff is fairly weak for nonvisiable slots. Look at the rings available in 1 group encounters... (as an example...)
