First off, my main reason for agreeing with Knytul to post this was not these boards - it was the Sony boards. That is the place where most of the outside influence to paladin issues comes from. I used to read those boards nearly every day, but I grew tired of going over to read them and finding a lot of arguing amongst the paladins there, that was being accentuated by the likes of Frodiin or the other trolls.
What I ideally would like to see happen would be the majority of the paladins posting over there come here instead to post, so instead of having arguments sidetracked by other classes on the Sony boards, we could discuss them amongst ourselves, and then present the united front to the rest of the EQ population on the Sony boards.
Secondly, I really would like to try and recapture what we once had on the EZboards for Paladins of Norrath - a large community that was very active, with people who posted thought provoking, informative posts. While it happens now, it doesn't happen as much as it used to, and I want to get some fresh blood starting to come here and replace those people whom we've lost over time due to them quitting the game/losing interest in these boards/etc.
Okay, so this board is not a popular idea, but does anyone else have a way to get these goals to occur?

I've seen the EQ paladin boards, not much there. There isn't anything major wrong with the class. We could hash out ideas for the TBS spells. Samanna does a great job of covering gameplay tips. Tbs spells will probably be two new stuns, a new self buff, a new direct heal, group heal and a brells upgrade. The spells I use most that I'm not sure will get upgraded are burst, challenge and shackles. Then the ultility spells, the proc, undead proc and undead DD. My favorite spells from TSS were the new ideas of remorse and challenge.
My spell set is Burst, the level 70 group heal, the heal over time, challenge, the TSS force stun, the TBS stun, DA, Shackles, and Tunare. Each of these spells have immense benefit.
Burst is an aggro tool as well as a heal, and the group heal is to a lesser degree. The heal over time's for your FD monk or to give yourself a bit extra healing. Splitting grouping and soloing. Challenge's our 10 percent rune, and something to toss on messed mobs. The TSS and TBS stuns are the main aggro tools. DA can be used to drag corpses, escape wipes and trains, pull mobs, avoid AE's, on vish it keeps you safe for a DT. Shackles roots most content. Tunare's our heal proc, always buffed with it.
Solo
The heal over time becomes the main heal. The 10 percent rune Challenge gives is useful. The second TSS stun gets memmed.
These spells make for a challenging solo game and a powerful group set.

A little off topic but I agree that chanters have gotten the shaft. They have been falling way behind ever since PoP came out. Shaman moved past them in the slow department and with mobs increasingly dishing out more damage their (shaman) ability to slow and buff made them greatly wanted in the former chanter role. Heck I remember back in Velious days in velks lab you never saw shaman...always chanters. I really wish they would do a little more for chanters personally like give them hp buffs that they can give the tanking class alone or something to make them a little more desirable...or give them back the ability to completly charm a mob again...what was that dire charm? Ok now that I have completly derailed this thread
