Pallys who dont spot heal themselves and soley depends on thier healers are LOL.
If my healer is a Druid I HoT and spot heal.
If my Healer is a clerc/shaman I spot heal.
Just makes sense, you die less that way.
Also if you have problems with agro on a 3 pull your a novice.
Root 2 and pull back.
But if its chaos just spam groups heals <I always have 2 memed> you should snap agro NP.
It is not rocket science.
Pally has lots of ways to gain agro.
Taunt is a good way btw!
Also dont be lazy and maybe aug and old weopon with EB and do a Bandolier switch.
I do that and I never have agro problems.
Honestly you cant prove any point in need hate mods its just totally laughable to me.

messed around with this stun today
dememmed my ancient for this, moved akilae to the ancient's spot
i don't bother using the knockback stun

the stun duration on quellious is much less than force
chaining the two you'll definately notice a difference
the mob was getting hits in but not many
plus bashing it's a nice combo for the stunnable crowd

otherwise the mana cost is high and i'd just as well swap back to my orig setup for the 76+ crowd
or consider using challenge

While I am not in the category of people raiding Lethar, I am suprised that knights are having aggro trouble vs DPS classes in group content.

My main is a monk and I often wind up tanking for my friends. Among the people I sometimes group with is a comparatively undergeared Shadowknight and a comparatively undergeared paladin. Both have anguish weapons (Boff and Warspear of Vexation) as comapred to my 2.0 and cryptwod tonfa with lycantrhope eye). Neither of them are max AA, and I woudl be suprised if either had even fero 3 as compared to fero6.

With that said on xp mobs if they want aggro they can take it, I have to often tell the paladin stop stunning because I can't hold aggro off her and the cleric finds it easier to heal me (I out AC them by about 600 AC the paladin is still working some defensive AA).

Now this may change if I get lethars or brumals, but right now in GROUP content a knight has no trouble keeping aggro off me. Now if you are talking in RAIDS where I am likely to have a shaman, where the knight isn't, and I MAY even have a bard for overhaste then yeah I can and do generate a lot of aggro, but on group content..... not so much.

it's worth mentioning then that any change made to speed up aggro on the high end could be used on any level of content
talking about direct aggro spell no stun component

i think you're missing the point
rank 3 spells aren't available to anyone except the top end guilds raiding through TSS content
those level guilds have extremely high weapon ratios on their dps
their dps is getting higher and higher, way higher than say a CoA level guild
while the stun aggro between rank 2 and 3 is nearly identical
the aggro on the rank 3 doesn't increase enough to make up for the increase melee aggro so the tool is devalued,
even if the rank gives more aggro on paper
the stun itself diminishes in usefulness in comparison to the aggro generation of the dps
but shouldn't it be that stun aggro and weapon aggro scale a little more linearly?
they could take the oppertunity to use the rank 3 as a real sizable upgrade that was meant only for raiders of that content level that for the first time people raiding higher content could loot stuns that had higher aggro to successfully deal with said content
and there wouldn't be this mad struggle for aggro
one could relatively comfortably hold aggro without having a heart attack trying to mash the buttons and perhaps still not maintaining solid aggro

i mean they could upgrade the aggro of the new rank 3 stun as well, no reason to keep it confined to the tss rank 3. im talkin increase the aggro gained from the rank 3 stuns, across the board.

the next question is, how much of an increase is enough to make a difference. obviously it couldn't be more than twice the original base aggro valuel and likely being reasonable even 50 percent more aggro is pushing it. but these stuns will add up as it's all about the aggro over time not necessarily the snap aggro with a massive amount in one shot. it'll all add up, even a little bit. but it'll stil matter how much we add because meh a bit of homework needs to be done: recast time on stuns, cast time on stuns, to figure out aggro per sec on the current rank 3's, and then modify those values by changing the aggro value of the given rank 3 and figuring out the new aggro over time, and hell if there's any way to figure out the aggro over time of a melee hit then you're a god. but likely we'll have to postulate there. but then again there's some paladin gods that haunt these boards from the old days, i wouldn't be surprised with any white rabbits being pulled out of hats; but back to it, you can do this, you can gather testimonials of rank 3 using paladins about their experiences with aggro in groups with melee geared with rank 3 dropping level content gear. i mean this whole thing was spurred on reading the comments on such situations made by certain tss paladins on this thread specifically.
