Well title says it all. I am pretty sure that my guilds first Ture kill was in mid/early spring of 2005. We are still currently without a boff ever....that is with weekly kill of him. So about 8 months then, anyone else gone longer?

Our last one was on June 30. We kill Ture every 5 days, so that's somewhere in the order of 22 kills without one. Doesn't matter to us, all our Paladins have one, but it does seem an awful long time.

There has been some discussion of this on the Sony boards. Could I ask anyone who has definitely seen a BoFF drop in the last two months to post here, please.

We have had THREE drop in the last two months, all in September and all back to back. 9/6, 9/11, 9/18. We have killed him 10 times total starting on August 2nd.

We've had 5 drop in 24 kills since 14/6/05
Last one was on 8/9/05, only have 1 paladin waiting now and he has 2.0 so im kinda glad it's thinned out a bit..

The strangest thing I've noticed is the complete lack of masks from ture, we've gotten 1 in 24kills.. think I have more chance just waiting for a vish mask atm..

Edit: another ture kill, no mask or boff, and got vish mask tonight LOL, 2 vish kills 2 masks O.o

A bit off topic, we started farming Ture last april or somthing.. we've only gotten one morguecaller ever heh.

I understand lowering class item drop rates a bit, considering it's super annoying when they drop and rot in place of real loot (i.e. Tacvi!)... but that's just stupidly rare.

They should just bunch up the class-only loot on one or two nameds that can be skipped if you want to (somewhat like the aten blobs in VT could be). Then let people start skipping them when noone needs em anymore. Alternatively leave one slot for class-only loot on each mob (and spread the loot around a bit) and have the other two drops be misc.

Leaving it up to RNG when the percentage is so low is just plain stupid.

We've been doing Anguish since like.. i think early June.

Here's our BoFF listing:

10/10/05 - Twink Paladin (that'd be me)
08/08/05 - Main Pally
08/01/05 - Main Pally
07/11/05 - Main pally (first drop)

Yeah.. all of our main and fulltime paladins have the BoFF already. We have i think 1 or 2 mains that do not often play, and thats why my twink got a boff instead... kinda scary still =x

40 Ture, 3 BoFFs, last one about 3 weeks ago. Took 22 Tures to see the first one drop (actually even aksed a GM if Ture was bugged on KD back then lol).

Our first kill was May 13, 2005. We got our one and only BoFF in July. So, 29 kills and 1 BoFF, still no morguecallers in guild for about the same amount of Hanvar kills. Seems crappy to me but can understand not wanting alot of rot once everyone gets.

Doubtful... the RNG is the RNG.

It's not Anguish, but going back to Time... my guild has been killing there around once a week for about 3-4 months now. In that time, we've seen maybe 5 Hopebringers, and 0 chanter slow sticks from TZ. I think that might actually be the only piece that hasn't dropped yet for us.

First Coa raid 08/07/05
Date Buyer Blade of Forgotten Faith
08/29/05 Kikthin Anguish
09/05/05 Lionheartx Anguish
Still 6 players waiting for them.

Has anyone dropped hanvar since he been put on steroids, we decided last night to kill AMV and save Jalvan as we been told those two are easier then hanvar is now.

Gonna be kind of messy with him hitting and ramping for 4k.

4 drops from 23 kills, first kill was 25-June-05 last BoFF dropped 7-Sept-05

as for hanvar we killed him last night with about 8 MT deaths, it was fun... and then we wiped to AMV Embarassed

same on hanvar and AMV, Hanvar was a pain but we took him down first try, AMV wiped us. AMV's adds seemed to spawn faster than usual, and more "marked for death" too, could be bad luck though. Second run at AMV was fine, so who knows. Had what I think was our first flawless (0 deaths) jelvan though.

Got hanvar first try as well, 2 belts of the stagnant and another bracer /groan. I ramp tanked hanvar and his ramp is pretty darn wussy compared to his dmg on the MT (when not DA of course...). For mobs that stun - DA ramp tanking can make a paladin immune to the stun and able to heal the MT at crucial times, try it - its like the coolest thing in all of eq to keep the tank up when all the clerics are stunned hehe.

We had 6 clerics and 4 warriors, but 3 of our warriors are top 10 on the server... guess which one died on his turn in the disc switch... only 1 tank had to tank twice so 15min fight roughly.

*still only 1 mask from ture after 26 kills, 3 from 3 with vish masks now lol /em flattens old mask into a frisbee and throws it at ture.

Arch Magus has a new AE as well. Dispersion Feedback iirc (I think it's new, perhaps not, i'd never seen it at any rate).

Was a knockback and mana drain, and he did it at about 20% of his health. The adds did seem to pop a bit faster, although I didn't notice any increase in the DT.

We got new Hanvar on our 2nd try.. I really feel bad for the guilds that haven't beaten him yet but are working on Anguish.. what a cockblock.

EDIT: Btw did anyone else notice Hanvar adds don't explode anymore?

(And sorry for derailing thread furthur !)

Our adds still exploded. I just picked up the guild's last BoFF...about 20 days on average per drop for us.

0/7 on the boff so far.. so 7 weeks, only do him every sunday.. not every 5 days.

missed the new hanvar raid this week, apparently took 1 hour from pull to his death, not sure if adds exploded or not, just heard the oom clerics were chain clicking tanks lol.

Longest drought from my guild was the very first Blade we saw drop on May 31st, to not seeing another one until September 16th. Oddly enough, we had another one drop on the 21st and then another one on the 25th in the same month. Three Blades back to back to back was seriously a life saver from the drougt we had and now all 4 of the paladins in our guild have it. have yet to see another one drop since the 25th though which is fine because it would just rot.

We got one on our first trip to COA last month and I won it. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a healing problem with this, it seems to me that not all grp members are getting healed when it procs. Also, when you crit heal does it only crit on certain members?

Crt heals are random. Can crt from 0-6 at any given time.

I never had problems with my heals not hitting certain people.
As long as they are in range, they have been getting the heals.

Crits are always random yes, and the only time someone doesnt get a heal is if they are too far away or something is blocking it like DA/ToTD/etc. The crit heals are random but you do actually have a chance to crit on every single heal though the odds are huge, happened to me once with my old Time 1hs, still have the ss from it.

In my previous guild Night Eternal, we did around 12-15 ture kills with a grand total of 0 BoFF's. After it broke up and I joined Blades of Law, after breaking in anguish we wen't another 8-10 kills seeing no BoFF. However, we got 4 in the next 6 CoA runs. So yea, the drop rate is pretty freakish indeed.

We've gotten 4 BoFFs in about 9-10 months. I have "heard" that BoFf is supposed to be the rare drop in CoA. MC on the otherhand drops every other time and has been rotting for MONTHS. We still have 1 paladin without Sad

Woot!

Guild just broke into CoA and on first raid, we got Ture! After reading this and other threads I had made it clear to all my friends I was prepared to wait, an wait, especially since I am no where near the top of the Dkp list for the pallies.

I AM NOW THE HAPPY OWNER OF A BLADE OF FORGOTTEN FAITH!

Miracles can happen, just hang in there guys.

We got one our very first Ture kill, then not seen another one since.

We had two of the blades drop from that MPG trial. I told people to bid on it because BoFF could go into a huge drought, no one listened =P I think they are regretting it now!

Aye, Aba and I have seen Ture go down 9 times so far. Tonight will be our 10th.

And Aba should know better than to say I don't listen! /bonk Now as for the rest on the other hand....

Well, we are now 1 for 27. Dropped today.

In our split raid.

In the raid I wasn't in.

Grats Tritan... my wait continues.

Screw you, Ture.

First one I'd seen since we entered Anguish. I believe that was something around 80 runs ago. Our raid force had seen 3 others. 1 on a split raid (when I was in the wrong half), and 2 others on the 5 or so runs I missed. So going into tonight, we were something like 0 for 80 with me present, 2 for 5 with me missing.

My guild has been in Anguish since late September and we've had only two BoFFs drop in that period. But thanks to a collusion scheme on the part of our former raid leader, each one of them went for just 10 DKP (our minimum bid.)
