Who is Dark Horizon?

We are an end game raiding guild who's goal is to beat each expansion while it's still current and experience the hardest content EQ has to offer. We've been successful at this for over 10 years now and we're still doing it. We also try to avoid exploits and cheats overly 'creative' tactics and play the game as intended. If a 54 man raid is beatable without lockouts by 12 people dressed in a full suit of Blackened Iron (magical immunity!) while wielding a Glowing Lightstone in one hand and a fishing rod in the other and chain clicking Grim Aura earrings, then we'll assume that wasn't intended and avoid using it as 'strategy'. We're an EST based guild who raids four nights a week on the following schedule:

Sundays:..........2pm to around 8pm EST (11am-5pm PST) or later depending on content and progression
Mondays:..........6pm to around 10pm EST (3pm-7pm PST) or later depending on content and progression
Wednesdays:...6pm to around 10pm EST (3pm-7pm PST) or later depending on content and progression
Thursdays:.......6pm to around 10pm EST (3pm-7pm PST) or later depending on content and progression

Our loot system is a DKP system with loots being a set price so everyone earns the same DKP and pays the same price for loots they receive. We aim to keep our numbers low while still filling raids, so this means high attendance is a must. While we require high attendance, we get our lock outs in 4 days of raiding leaving time to play with non-raiding friends, EXPing, farming, questing, or just having a life outside EQ. This allows us to gear everyone up faster without diluting gear across 100+ accounts, and also means very little sitting out of full raids.

Where else are you gonna find a bleeding edge guild that doesn't take up all your time and even if your last in the looting order will gear you head to toe? If this appeals to you, check out our web page:

Valorguard Recruitment (Nameless Server)

Postby Marneth » Thu May 13, 2010 4:34 pm

Valorguard is currently recruiting quality people and players of the following classes:
Bard
Cleric
Druid
Enchanter
Magician

The minimum requirements to apply if your class is Open are level 85 + 900 AA.
Korafax group flag is highly recommended; lacking this flag will severely limit your ability to raid with us.
Our raid nights are Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday; from 7:00-11:00pm EST.
Our current targets include Tower, Fippy, and The Beast. We are working on The Unburrowing.

Valorguard is one of the oldest and most respected guilds on the former Nameless Server (now Erollisi Marr) and VG members are very proud to be part of the family. We are always looking for skilled players who fit in well with our friendly, helpful guild culture. We never close recruiting for any particular class completely; instead, we merely become more selective for a given class.

Valorguard is not a "hard-core raiding guild" since we typically raid only 3 nights per week, however, we do make constant progress through the game due to the dedication and discipline of our members and leaders on raid nights. We seek out people who play regularly, however, Valorguard is a totally volunteer organization with no mandatory attendance requirements. We understand that our members also have real lives that take priority over gaming. Recruiting slots for classes we are lacking are opened periodically to cover our group and raid needs.

Valorguard is a collection of players who genuinely want to help each other advance through the game and have fun doing it. This is most evident during non-raid times where members are free to form groups to accomplish their single-group goals. Members are generally willing to help their guildmates in whatever way they can. Applicants should have a good attitude and be supportive and willing to help other guildmates.

If your class is listed as "Closed", that means that VG is currently well staffed in your class and there is not a need to recruit an additional player of that class. However, we realize that there are exceptional players out there and we understand the benefit to the guild by not turning them away. Therefore, we have a process where a player of exceptional skill with a highly-experienced character can apply to Valorguard as an "exceptional applicant". The requirements for Exceptional Applicants are considerably higher than those of a standard applicant, and are based on the stats of our current members in that class. Please visit the Valorguard website for further information.

If Valorguard sounds like the right guild for you, please feel free to visit our website at http://www.valorguard.com/ and stop by our app channel (vgapp:honor). You may also guest with us on our raids with no obligation if you are interested in applying and would like to get a closer look at Valorguard (however all guests must be at least level 85 with 900 AA).

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss applying, please feel free to contact any member of Valorguard's leadership team:
Iwenn (Guildmaster)
Iheart (Webmaster)
Marneth (Recruiting Officer)
Kiiks (Officer)
Stargazer (Officer)
Hammerfur (Officer)
Issk (Officer)
Shagium (Officer)

Thank you for your interest in Valorguard!

Inverse Logic, Stromm's #1 guild, is recruiting a few more players that are seeking that
balance between in game progression and still maintain a life outside the game.
We are the #1 raiding guild on our server even though we raid the least of the top 4 guilds
through hard work and focused players allowing us to achieve many goals in a short time.

In promoting that balance between EverQuest and Real Life adventures
we currently raid only 3 days per week which are:

* Tuesdays 7pm to 11pm CST.
* Thursdays 7pm to 11pm CST.
* Sundays 6pm to 11pm CST.

Our current content is farming Fippy, and Tower (regular and hard mode) and have killed Beast.
However with the talent we currently have in addition to you and high caliber players like yourself
adding to the Inverse Logic team our content and targets are ever changing and progressing.

The leadership of Inverse Logic is committed to provide an online gaming experience
for our members who want to accomplish a lot in game but still have fun doing it.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of and want more information
please browse our site at http://inverselogic.guildportal.com
or send a tell to our officers stromm.Kriska, stromm.Daremok, stromm.Phyros, stromm.Guels, stromm.Obione

We look forward to meeting you and potentially having you be part of this great team!

Appotus Dominus. We are the drunken masters of Maelin Starpyre! Uhh... Drinal. And we are in need of a paladin with high raid attendance. Need not have experience with exorcisms but knowing how to swing that nice big sword is a plus.

AD is an 8 year old, stable guild of good folks who value good nature and good humor over all, but we do what we must to get the job done. Our first demolishing of the Tower of Discord took place some under a year ago and Fippy is on farm status currently. We're working on The Beast Below and have stuck our toes in the waters of Pellucid Grotto's raid event.

Requirements:

Level 85, 1000 AAs (or close)
The Gates of Disc--- uhh, Underfoot expansion.
SoD progression to Korafax. Tower key not required.
A good head and functional gear for our current content. At least SoD T5 gear (or very close) is a must. The bar is a little higher for knights. Please inquire.
All augs filled out is appreciated and preferred.
We require 50% raid attendance but the higher the better. We need a dedicated person to their class and to their guild who likes waffles. Okay, not really so much the waffle part.
We raid Sunday to Thursday at 6PM CST to 10PM and use a DKP system with open bidding.
Please have an updated magelo profile.

Any class is welcome to apply. We are especially seeking warriors, clerics, druids, berserkers, rogues, wizards, and a couple of skilled shadowknights.

If killing huge evil dogs and snails and ants is your thing and you think you might fit the bill of what we desire, please drop someone a tell before submitting an application:

Officers:

Velnarin (Leader)
Chilrails (Recruitment)
Windcallerr
Fastios
Ione
Solarkat

Ancient Dominion's website can be found at
http://ad.rebelhq.org/index.php?content=news

Hello there!

Ancient Dominion is Recruiting.

We live on the Antonius Bayle Server.

We raid every other night,at 7PM GMT. We find that this allows us to have good mixture of Rl and EQ, with a night raiding then a night xping/RL then a night raiding

We are curently working on entry to T7 raids in Underfoot.

If you are interested in applying to join the guild, please check the link to see if your class is open for recruitment.

As a rough guide as a paladin you would need over 750aa, including aggro and defensive aa and at least 35000 HP and 5000 AC minimum to survive the content we fight. More specifics can be found by talking to the recruitment officers for the guild.

We ask that you attend at least 50% of the raids whilst in recruitment so we may get to know you and try and XP with us.

Recent guild kills can be seen on our website along with more details for recruitment.

Good hunts in Norrath to you all.

Re: Freelance - Open Raid Team - Cazic Thule Server

Postby Furro » Tue Aug 16, 2011 12:01 am

Brief Overview

Freelance is an open raiding team. It's strictly based on a pure and true open raid concept. There is no single guild associated and/or affiliated or in an alliance with Freelance. The entire team is a collection of like minded players which come together to experience content and help others share in that experience. We've built our numbers over time, through word of mouth; advertising on forums, and other in game zone wide methods.

All players are welcome to attend Freelance raids. Prior raid experience is not required. We welcome both newcomers to the raid scene, as well as seasoned players. Newcomers benefit from our raids not just from character advancement, but also from exposure to raiding in general. Seasoned players in the mix, allows for class experience and tricks of the trade to be passed down the line. It's good overall, and good for the game.

Raid Atmosphere

Freelance is a friendly, low stress raiding environment. We're accustomed to working with both experienced and inexperienced raiders alike. There's no intimidation factor on our raids. Raids are NOT led by iron fist dictatorship, there is no talking down to others, nor drama of any kind.

We're dedicated to helping others of all play styles, backgrounds and experience. We continuously seek to improve our performance at both the raid and class level through the sharing of knowledge openly and constructively. These efforts make us stronger as a team overall. If/when mistakes happen during events, we as a team understand and we work collectively to identify the causes in order to implement solutions, we do not play the blame game. This concept of understanding is a focal point which fosters goodwill and strengthens our bond as a team.

Raid Schedule & Related Details

Days: Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Start times: 8:00 PM EST, 7:00 PM CST, 5:00 PM PST

Duration: Approximately 2 - 3 hours respectively. No commitment required to stay the duration.

There are no mandatory attendance requirements.

Our raids are posted in advance on our forums with related details.

All strategy related to upcoming events are public and available on our forums in the related Strategy section.

Minimum Requirements

  • Level 105
  • 7000 AA
  • All 6 MPG Group Trials completed (for resists)
  • All 5 DoN Tiers (for power gains)

Content & Progression

Empires of Kunark progression.

Special events like Anniversary raids, Living Legacy for AUGs.

DKP System & Item Distribution

DISTRIBUTION PROCESS:

Freelance uses both DKP and Random 1000 to distribute items. All items are associated with a category, and each category tied to a ruleset; which is used for item distribution.

Current designated expansion LOOT & RUNE items require 20% Raid Attendance in order to BID/Random on them. Retro designated expansion items are processed on demand via /random 1000 Ruleset, with normal associated base costs. With the exception of special earmarked items (quest drops, etc).

AUG and N/A category items are distributed via Random 1000 ruleset.

LOOT category items are auctioned off in 3 rounds of open /raidsay bidding, starting at 50 DKP. Minimum bid increments of 10 DKP at a time. A player cannot bid beyond their Current DKP holdings. Following no bids, an OPEN tag is associated and the Random 1000 ruleset is used (no RA needed).

Each "Real Life" person is allowed to participate, winning one AUG, LOOT, RUNE, and N/A item per night. OPEN items still count as your item in that category for the night, and are available to anyone, including prior winners. FFA items cost the same as their aforementioned category, but are not restricted to one per "Real Life" person.

DKP EARNINGS:

DKP points are earned based on the total value of all items distributed, divided by the total number of attendees, on a per event/target basis. Basically that means, for each target, all DKP spent, is split among all those who attended for that target. The more we spend, the more we earn.

Ring of Valor on Bristlebane is currently seeking 1 or 2 high raid attendance paladins.

We raid 5 nights a week, 7 to 11 pm CST. Finished VoA 13th serverwide, currently farming T3 and T4. Loot is done via modified dkp (basically it's 30 day raid attendance x dkp = power, highest power wins). Guild chat is not PG  but the guild as a whole is mature and rather hardcore.

Applicants will need to be 95, 3500ish AA, and at least group geared and augged. High raid attendance is a must.

Any questions, feel free to shoot a tell to Tucas, Audigy, Arwyn, or Elricvonclief.

Oh, and thank you again for hosting these boards, a LOT of folks use the info here :D

Raging Fury on the Antonius Bayle Server is looking for one or possibly two Paladins.

Raging Fury is a Guild with a distinguished track record, consistantly top 5 Serverwide since the Gates of Discord Expn and now has an opening for 1 or 2 skilled and knowledgable Paladins.

As a guild we do not set a long list of required AAs that we want every applicant to have. We make our decision based upon the guilds current, as well as future, needs and upon the demonstrated ability/activity of the player involved. However, there are certain AAs which are essential for each class/raid survivability and you will be required to have them.

With the introduction of Rain of Fear, our raid focus has shifted and expanded to new horizons and new enemies. Our main priority, as a guild, is progression inside RoF.

The content we are raiding requires a lot from players, both gearwise and attention wise. While we are willing to provide the first for you, the second is something you will have to prove to us during your trial period and after.

Raging Fury's raiding schedule is as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 19:00 - 23:00 CET (18:00 - 22:00 GMT, 13:00 - 17:00 EST, 10:00 - 14:00 PST)
Sunday: 18:00 - 23:00 CET (17:00 - 22:00 GMT, 12:00 - 17:00 EST, 09:00 - 14:00 PST)

The more active and pro-active of a player you are, the better the chance of you making it as a Full Member of RF. Trialists and Full Members are expected to be on for raid start time and maintain a raid attendance of 70% or higher.

If you want further information then either visit http://www.raging-fury.org/ or Contact our recruiters ;tell antonius.Illandra, ;tell antonius.kenona

http://thehellfire.net - Hellfire Club is a high end raid guild on CT, raiding 4 days a week:
Wednesday and Friday, 8pm - 11pm EST
Saturday and Sunday, 1pm - 5pm EST

Progression:
we're not a bleeding edge guild in competition for cross-server firsts, but we are in the top 15 of progression guilds in EQ currently, and have been first in progression on the CT server for many years.

Requirements:
we're not terribly rigid about this, but as we are doing higher end content we necessarily need people 'physically' capable of handling the content we're on.
as such, we expect at least 3.5k AAs and a full set (or equivalent) of the current expansion's top tier group armor and augs.

Current Recruitment Needs:
2 Paladins (must have at least 3500 AA and 8500ac unbuffed)

We have an extremely relaxed attendance requirements for a guild at our tier (far as i've seen of other guilds, anyways) - we are one of the top 15 guilds for progression across all servers, but with a 4 day a week raid schedule.
If you're interested in high end raiding in a relaxed and adult environment, HFC is a good place to look.
