well, the "melee solo" is something we can do well at lower levels, but severly diminishes as you get into higher level zones....its still possible late in levels, but it requires higher end gear and will take much longer than root rotting, as well as cost more mana. also note that even the best bazaar gear is no substitute for quest/raid gear.

I'm a pretty gimp 70/400 AA shaman. (Still mostly bazaar geared and missing all my 69 and 70 spells (Horrible luck on drops and rolls both))

There are still a few dark blue cons that I can solo tank for XP and loot. Not many and mostly old world stuff but it's there. Any newer content I solo is done by Root/rotting.

The better gear you have the more you will be able to tank but bazaar gear has it's limits. If you want to be tanking past WoS you will need to be at least partially raid geared.

For a melee soloer I would more recommend a Beastlord, Shadowknight or Paladin. None are as cool as a shaman but all three can solo past 70 and will melee much better than a shaman ever will.

For any mob giving more than token XP (dark blue+), we're dealing our damage by DoTs and Panther/Leopard. If it summons, we may be tanking, or we may tank to save the pet anyway, but aside from anecdotal occasions, we dealing damage via melee at level 70 is counterproductive.

PoK Buffed I can get over 6k which is great for me but I still have problems healing myself while I have aggro. I am assuming this is because ....

Def skill?
AC?
Channeling?
All of the above?

Suggestions? I just looked at my Magelo and noticed the Channeling AA at zero .. would this be helpful?
