I was wondering if anyone had any information on this raid? All I've been able to come up with is "lots of adds, and lots of adds, and more adds... oh and lots and lots of ae's"

Going in and finding out what the event does and how hard it is I cannot say is a waste of time. It teaches your raiders and if you win you get some pride in yourselves specially when you didn't need information from a secondary source. Sure it may take you a couple of tries to figure it out, but it isn't a waste.

As you may have deduced from the responses and lack of responses you've garnered so far, The Crucible is not the go-to site for spoilers on current raiding. It may be the shamanic heritage here, but self reliance is held in pretty high esteem around here. That applies to individuals and to raids. "Running in blind to waste everyone's time" is exactly how raids are learned, how the knowledge you're asking be handed to you is earned. We're solidly in hard love, teach-a-man-to-fish territory here. If you want to progress, get out there and hit it. Take the licks, and hit it again. If some specific mechanic still bewilders all 54 people you take in there after half a dozen tries, there's usually a helpful tip to be found in more private channels.

Took the guild I'm apping to about 5 tries in one night to down her (about 1/2hr ago). Fun fight, yeah lots of adds.

Pay attention to the usual stuff: emotes, spells being cast, why are adds coming, etc,.... Be smart, and you'll get it easily (if guild is ready for it). Find the strategists in your guild, and they will do right by you.

well since got the info figured would pass it to those who don't and be helpful... Queen powers up VERY slowly don't worry about burning but don't take forever. Viral dot from her “You see the queen glare at you, aiming her sickening ball of fluids at you.” if that emote lands on you you get away from raid and get a cure before the virus spreads... if it does zomg adds spawn. “You are infested by" means the virus spread to you get it cured fast. Avoid the virus.. mez/kill adds and GG you win.. the little silence/blind guy that walks around just deal with it not much you can do.

Why exactly did he post a raid spoiler on here? Did he not read the rest of the thread? I've been out of the raiding game a couple years now but is this what it's come down to?

If you do it correctly, you can get 0 adds. It's about as straightforward a raid as there is but it's not a burn fight. Take your time, read the emotes, look what happens and put two and two together when adds (flies) spawn. Once you learn, you can avoid getting any.

Unless you can burn 8-10 million hp in under 60 seconds, you are getting adds. Those are scripted and afaik unavoidable. However yes, the adds from another source are completely avoidable.

Larvae adds, you'll get no matter what.
Fly adds, you'll get only if people are being stupid.

Had a problem with pets getting the fly add and people not noticing. I think it was just our pet classes being retarded but they werent cured and spread to just about everyone in raid. We won, but had like 30 flies up at the end being mezzed, kited or what have you. Was kind of hilarious to see.

Mage forum/community leader is saying on their forums that pets can't spread this stuff. They can get the dot but can't spread it to others due to how they're coded. True or false?

Guess everyone was just being retarded on that raid then. We've killed her a few times now so chances were that people werent paying 100% attention. Still, fun to see 30 flies up and mezzed/kited/offtanked at the end of it. Raid leader was *slightly* pissed :P

Yeah, Queen has a close range AE, so mainly for melee. Then make sure to get cures. oh and depending on your raid, either kill adds and then focus on queen or just keep adds and burn her.

Oh and really, to those saying, "go in there and learn it yourself" that's just being stingy. You don't tell your soldiers to go into a battlefield without any information. Nobody says "hey go in there and dont get shot, if you get wounded just try again" wtf. This also applies to science. Scientists dont just hold out on their information. Some of the most brilliant people didnt just come up with their theories on their own, they used shared information. So stop being stingy. I'm not saying hand out every detail. But you don't have to do the whole "My guild did it on our own, so you should too" thats BS. Plus unless you're like the first 3 guilds to do a raid serverwide. Your members probably got info from the guilds that have completed it before you.

blah blah i know this is a rant. but I hate when I see those posts.

Any idea where the spirit paths, I've been told it paths around raid members, and queen, but we pulled her to the North room and the spirit warped. I wondered if the spirit only paths close to queen?

The spirit walks all around our raid, and we also set up in the north room, just have people move till they can see

god i love threads like this...The Ultimate Strat for Queen Malarian (and any other raid for that matter)
1) Dont Die Dumb
2) Get the mob's hp's down to 0 before yours gets there
3) Heal lots, Cure when necessary
4) Read the scripts of each event (ie emotes)
5) DPS lots
6) Everytime you wipe, have your paladin Act of Valor and Blame Battleblade for not enough dps!
