Anyhow -- yes, Veril, I realize that how we sort Phosphenes and Phosphites into bids is our guild's decision. I asked here merely to see whether there is a "common practice" for dispensing these. What you posted about the clickable "clusters" of Phosphenes and Phosphites was incredibly helpful, though.

Sisters and Aprosis: two clusters, each of 100 phosphenes.
Balreth and Astire: two clusters, each of 200 phosphenes.
Irrissa and Commodus: two clusters, each of 400 phosphenes.
Two Gods: two clusters, each of 1000 phosphenes.

The clusters can be split up and divided however you like. However we treat each cluster as a separate loot and allocate it just like any other loot (in our case, bidding DKP). Another way of doing it would be to re-parcel it up into lower amounts, but frankly, life's too short for faffing around.

Phosphites get handed out whenever people win some infusible loot - usually people will be thrown 50 phosphites or so. If they need more they can pretty much get them from the guild. We don't track them particularly.

sorry about bumping an old post, but our alliance has just start working on solteris and we have a question about faction. we have recieved conflicting reports on how faction affects the items you buy with the clusters. we have been told 2 things.

1) that you must be ally to buy anything
2) that you must be ally to buy legs and breastplates only.

anyone have any idea which one is true?

I'm not 100% sure about the faction requirement, I believe it is just a kill requirement.

You must kill the sisters event to unlock bracers.
similar for confidant, baelrath, werewolf irissa, each unlocks a specific item - but you must also have all the previous kills
You must kill Commodus to unlock legs (and you must have all previous kills)
You must kill 2Gods to unlock BP (and you must have all previous kills)
