I realise that this isn't quite EQ related, it is offecting my ability to play EQ.
I'm having some issues wih my PC, and i'm considering going nuclear and reinstalling the OS.
If i go for Win 7 RC now what will I have to go through when it officially goes on sale in October?
TIA

If you get an official version of RC it should work until may next year. Than it will force you to update. I updated to RC and all is running stable. I hope that I can do another upgrade to realease when its out, but still not shure if there will be the option to just upgrade or if I might will have to do a new clean install. Sofar I am happy. No big changes noticed, more a feeling that things are running smoother now (apart from Gdata-Firewall which creates problems when I try to log to char-select).

My techie friends tell me all that will be required if you have the RC is that you actually pay for Win7, get a code, enter code, done.
Knowing MicroSoft, however, I'm sure it will be a different story. I'm sticking with XP until Win7/sp1 provided I can keep XP running, it's really showing it's age for me too now.
