Buying a PC for EQ

That's more than enough to run EQ, unless you are going to dual box. For dual boxing, I would recommend bumping the RAM to 2 GB.

Thanks all. I didn't get that one after all -- he sold it to another guy. Bought from him a 2 month old dell X400 system for $700 (without monitor) -- he guaranteed that it is 'a lot' better than the previous one so I decided to bite the bullet. Dell's website offered the same machine for $890 including 19'' monitor, so I payed a litter less for the system considering tax+delivery costs.

Pentium D dual processor 2.80GHz, Dual channel memory 1GB, 250G hard drive, DVD and DVDRW drives, ATI X850T video card (only the video card is an upgrade from the factory setting).

Result: amazingly no lag even in POK. Now I have another question: coming with the PC there is a CD called 'catalyst' of something like that. It suppose to give me more control to the video card. I'm pretty happy with the current gaming experience, do I need to bother with this?
