So it looks like Iran gave a collective "F You" to the European delegation. Care to wager if they actually try to get tough with Iran after this, or just have years worth of resolutions threatening sanctions (while never really delivering)?

Maybe they will manage to do something, I guess we'll see.

Truthfully it is only a matter of time before we(USA) invade Iran. Hell we want to secure the middle east so badly just for the oil. Maybe we should pursue the alternative means of energy and just leave everyone else alone. Let them sort out their own problems.

Wasn`t that long ago that Iran was falling all over themselves trying to get the EU on their side. The US had been treatening Iran with military action if they didn`t come clean on their nuke program. Now, with US troops bogged down in Iraq, Iran feels more secure that the US won`t attack them. Having China with major investments in Iran helps also. They don`t fear sanctions now as they once did. It`s going to be a tough road to get Iran to reverse the path they are on.

Maybe this is just me, but it seems like most americans don't give 2 shits about the middle east other then that we don't want them bombing us. If you have ever been there or experienced the culture its full of mothers coddling their sons into believing they are something special which breeds self-rightous psychopaths who blow themselves up because Alah told them it was the "in" thing to do this week. America isn't the big problem in the middle-east. The governments there are, and this goes the same for countries like france. The governments in these countries fully control media and admit to it. They convince the people in these countries through propaganda from the time that are in diapers till they are 6 feet deep(see Iraqi Information Minister), that the US is their big problem. Their problem is they have been lied to so long that they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and maybe if instead of trying to blow themselves up they fought off their oppressive governments they could get some where. I honestly think the middle east is so used to instability that they are afraid of stability. And i truly feel sorry for those people, they are poorly educated and have no reason to be suspect.

For anyone from europe to come talking about the propaganda americans have been fed is just laughable. Are their even any countries in europe that don't have government controlled media? Ask yourself this, does the media in your country have a favorable view of your president/leader? Ours sure as hell doesn't, and its no surprise since the majority of them affiliate themselves with the opposite political party....yet the US is getting bias'd news from their news outlets that don't like our president and anything but agree with this administrations policies......rriiiight....

Americans are simple friendly people, we want to know we aren't gonna wake up to a nuke in our back yard, and we want to know that we aren't gonna have a smallpox outbreak courtesy of some terrorist group. The same as every other country in the world. The difference you ask? We are willing to stick a boot in the ass of any country that stands in the way of us assuring ourselves of just that. If I hold a gun to your face your not gonna take kindly to it, and you'll probably stomp my ass given the chance. Well the US sees several countries holding guns to our face, and we don't give 2 shits why, because you don't stop to ask the mugger if his daddy beat him when he was little, you just whoop his ass, take his weapon, and laugh at him. And you do it in that order if your smart.

I am an american who doesn't really like either pary I have to choose from. But given the nature of our situation I fully support our troops and in doing so I lend my support to my president. I find it extremely telling that in your post you were looking to the US to do things and not your own country. We don't even friggin live there. The american people don't want to be there but we understand that if we don't do it none of the pacafistic nations of the EU are gonna do it. So like always we roll up our sleeves and do the dirty work of the world. All the while being bashed by the EU countries who are complaining about it because they have BILLIONS of dollars in sweet lucrative deals embezzling money thats supposed to go the poor people in the middle east to feed them. Jesus look at Oil for Food. US has no ties to that...but oh guess who does the exact same people who veto'd us in the UN. What a joke....
